It's day 355 of documenting 2025. 10 days to 2026! Well, today's post would be the last of the special series, "Episode With E". And with all that happened today, it's going to be a long one. Okay, let me start from this morning. We had part two of the spelling competition by 6am. Quite early, I know! I actually thought it was going to be finalized last night but it wasn't. Anyways, it was time for me to start spelling. A word would be pronounced and I was to spell it. I wasn't feeling tensed until I heard a word that sounded confused. My first guess...I failed it. Then we had to use "the other method" to get the correct spelling. Then I got it. Two rounds and 10 words later, we were done. An email was sent that I should relax, as the results were being analyzed. I used that time to prepare for the service where I was to sing as part of the choir. It's day 354 of documenting 2025. 11 days to 2026! Saturday was definitely a fun day for me. Probably because I'm still at E's house. Okay...let me start from how today went. I woke up early, due to my alarm. I actually slept in a mosquito net, provided by E's mum. She's such a nice woman...and she reminded me of my mother. Shortly after, E's dad woke up. You know what happened next? We all had a morning devotion! Igbo worship songs which I sang along to, then prayer by E's dad. It felt like I was with family....and that God was present. After the devotion, we had to go for a choir practice...me, E and J...our other friend and one of E's roommate in the lodge. It was another experience on its own...with me straining my voice to keep up with the sopranos. E told me earlier that my voice was an alto...but I should join the sopranos first, that he would train me later. He would know, as he's a choir coordinator and trainer himself. There I w...

It's day 353 of documenting 2025. 12 days to 2025! Friday started with prayers and me spraying my towel that I had washed last night. Then later on, E replied to my chat. Remember E from the last post? Yeah...that guy. I had asked if I could see him before he went to his place. He said yes...and told me to meet at a popular junction, close to where we usually have GS lectures. On the way to the spot, my prayer was, "Lord help me with this. If I have to forget this friendship, so be it...because I can't lose You". And I had made up my mind to be as serious as possible, no smiling. "Don't know what them guys got in their mind" was the thought. With all the experience I've had with guys and how deceptive they can be, I didn't see E any different from them.  But I was in for a surprise. I got to the spot and called him. It's day 352 of documenting 2025. 13 days to 2026! Today being Thursday definitely gave off the mid-week vibes 😎 We had our last lecture for the year, despite rumors that the lecturer was not going to come. He hadn't shown up for the last two weeks and my coursemates got upset. So, they ditched the last class. We were only ten during the lecture...and we got down a few notes and asked questions, as well as got explanations from the lecture. Then that was it! We were officially on break! 😁 There were hugs and mentions of   "till next year".  Something happened tho...that made me check myself, because I was like, "from where?" I'm the course rep, right? And the assistant course rep is a guy....let's call him E. So, E and I became friends due to our engagements as reps of the class.
