150 Days? New Record!

It's day 150 of documenting 2025.

Another milestone crossed 🎉

150 days of writing in a row!

I should probably sing,

In today's section of Blast From The Past, I'll share a quote each from day 50 and day 100.

Looking forward to the next milestone...day 200.

Before I go into the usual sections (yes...we're still doing em'), I want to talk on the last 50 days.

Speech mode activated!

Let me clear my throat....although it's perfectly fine 😄

The last 50 days have been tough, my friend.

Full of challenges, silent tears and struggle...mainly with myself.

But they've also been beautiful and hopeful. 

What we think may be far away might actually be closer than we think.

And if there's any wonderful gift I've received from them, it's my reconnecting with Aisha.

Somehow, the universe wanted it to happen.

She's busy...so am I.

She's a final year student in the university....can't imagine what that will be like for me 😐

But something tells me that we'll be of great help to each other later on.

I'll try to give her a call today.

Let's see how it goes.

Let me share again the poem I came up with.

It's called, "Between The Past And The Future"

I’m standing in the hallway

Not quite yesterday,

Not yet tomorrow.

A door behind me creaks closed,

Its echo full of lessons, scars,

Whispers of who I used to be.

The past

It broke me, shaped me,

Taught me how to kneel and pray

When no one else was watching.

It stripped away illusions,

But left behind a soul still willing

To rise again, to try again.

The future

I’ve seen it in dreams,

Golden glimpses wrapped in grace.

A life that sings with meaning,

A self that walks in peace.

But visions don’t build themselves.

So here I am

Laying bricks in silence,

Choosing better thoughts,

Raising my standards like pillars,

Rooting deep in God,

Even when the ground feels shaky.

This is the work that no one sees

The rebuilding, the replanting,

The slow unbecoming

Of everything that held me back.

And I know

If I don't fight now,

If I don’t heal now,

If I don’t believe now,

The future won’t wait around

For me to catch up.

Between the past and the future,

Is me

Becoming.

Profound on all levels 😌

ChatGPT might have crafted the verses, but my ideas brought it to life.

There's no other poem like this in the world.

That's how unique it is.

Lesson here:

Debt?

That's the one word I really dislike.

I like being independent...meaning I hate to borrow something I want to use for a period of time.

I prefer to have my own...and I prefer to ask for something than to borrow it.

It just leaves a bad taste in my tongue.

That's just me.

But today, I'm learning that leaning into indulgences can place me in debt.

Shocking revelation 😲

I know that in the world of finance, debt can be a good thing.

But in this case, hell no!

I, Duon Ada, will be more intentional from now on.
