It's The Big One Hundred! π
It's day 100 of documenting 2025.
Today is special, because
For 100 days I've written
Congrats to me π
Where's my applause?
ππΌππΌππΌππΌππΌππΌππΌ
(Thank you!)
265 days to 2026!
That's how time flies, my friend.
I started this documenting journey with fears....that something would happen along the way and I will stop writing.
100 days later, I'm standing strong πͺπΌ
First off, if you're new here, you have definitely missed a lot.
Stories, confessions, realizations....
As well as whimsical phrases and eccentric perspectives.
(Big big words....I know π
)
To catch up, visit the home of my former days, Documenting 2025.
If you've got time, scroll as much as you like...or search.
Just pick a post and enjoy.
Okay, I would like to do a little intro about myself before highlights...
And maybe a little backstory.
If you've been following my posts, consider this a reintroduction π
I'm Duon Ada.
But that's not what people back at home call me.
I'm from the Igbo tribe and my name is Uche (the "U" in DUON), what most people know me by.
I started writing back in 2022.
I didn't have a smartphone then...so it was good old-fashioned pen to paper.
I wrote poems and short stories.
I have the notebook I wrote them in
till today.
I discovered my love for the written word during the time I stayed at home, prematurely taking up the role of "mother of the house".
2025 will make it 5 years since my mum passed away.
I believe she's resting in perfect peace π️
Fast forward to 2023, my dad got me my first smartphone.
I was beyond excited.
As I dived into the internet world, I discovered that people were cashing out from the internet.
The desire to "make money online" was developed.
I can say that I tried a couple of means and methods.
The first was content writing for Opera News Hub.
I liked the writing aspect, so I signed up.
Frustration quickly set in.
I found out in the niche I chose to write for, earnings were smaller than peanuts.
(Horror!! π¨)
Then I abandoned Opera and moved to task websites.
You know...those sites where you waste your data to perform tasks, and get less than half of the amount you spent on buying data.
Twas exciting at first, but I lost interest eventually.
I decided to open an Instagram account and that's where I found out about affiliate marketing through a sponsored post.
I paid some money to join the class.
Turns out, the "coach" ghosted me and the other people that paid, after shoving coaching replays down our throats.
I tried affiliate marketing, and made my first $8 online, after months of trial and error.
Later on, I lost interest again and decided to try copywriting after a billionaire copywriter, Tyson 4D, convinced me.
I liked the writing aspect, so I learned as much as I could and discovered that psychology in involved in writing copy.
I became hooked on writing ever since.
Long story short, I'm now a content writer practicing marketing with words.
Because of this coming exam, I've not practiced much of what I learned from my certification course.
(I'm a certified content marketer, by the way....in case you need my service π)
No matter, after this month, I'll be back in business.
I noticed that I'm more interested in people.
Trying to figure out what their thinking, listening to their stories and giving my own piece of the advice pie.
It's quite fascinating that so many people face a lot and manage to smile, laugh and hide how they feel.
Resilience π
Let me tell you a secret, in spirit of today's occasion, 100 Days Of Consistency.
My dream is to stand on front of a large crowd and give an awesome presentation.
Kinda like those TED talks I usually watch on YouTube.
By then, I'll have my own business, family and crochet brand.
I'm working on it ✨
Quick one....
I like anything chocolate and I'm not picky with food.
Don't know if it's weird, but I can eat anything edible as long as it's not bitter.
Pet wise, I don't like dogs or cats....I prefer rabbits or hamsters.
I love laughing, as well as fictional stories and movies that transport me into the world of emotion.
Korean Drama? Oh please!
Give me an action movie and popcorn....I'm good.
I'm not perfect.
You can probably tell from my writing style.
I try to do better, every single day and I avoid making the mistakes of yesterday.
And help people with what I've learned along the way.
I'm currently on a challenge to write for 365 days straight.
And today, I reached my first milestone!
Documenting 2025 was born because of the challenge...and the need to keep memories.
I tend to forget things and experiences easily, so I can come back here anytime and relive the moments.
Moments I share with you ☺️
That's a bit about me, just surface level.
Maybe one of these days, I will write a full post.
So you can get to know me better.
(Or not! π)
In the meantime, let's do highlights.
I'm just gonna share the quotes, no comments this time.
365 Days With Self-discipline
π On Being A Leader
"If you wish to control others you must first control yourself."
Quote by Miyamoto Musashi
"One good way to boost your willpower when you’re struggling to maintain it is to remind yourself of the benefits of self-control.
In other words, give yourself an answer as to why you should resist yet another temptation and stay self-disciplined.
Failing to find a good answer will make you succumb to the urge, so it’s useful to know as many practical benefits of self-discipline as possible."
"One overlooked benefit of self-control — or a big weakness in a person who lacks it — is that leadership is impossible without it. If you demand self-discipline from others, you should first have it yourself.
Otherwise, you’ll lack the credibility that makes other people want to follow you."
"Whenever you’re struggling to stay disciplined, think of people whom you consider your loyal “followers,” whether they’re your colleagues, your children, your friends, or your neighbors."
"What would they think of you — and would they still be willing to follow you — if they knew that you’d failed to embrace the quality that they admire in you so much that they consider you an important person in their lives?"

π Chapter 4 Recap
1. The rule of the vital few says that the majority of the results come from a small part of the overall efforts.
People who don’t approach their goals with this principle in their minds are more likely to become overwhelmed and give up.
When you focus on the essence of what you want to achieve, you’ll reduce the risk of giving in.
2. Focus on the results instead of the efforts.
Struggling for the sake of struggling is a sure-fire way to burn out and give up.
3. Stress and lack of proper rest will lead you to burn out.
Make sure to take a break from time to time and get your mind off your goals.
4. Top performers recognize the power of proper rest and effectiveness.
If the most elite athletes, musicians, actors, and chess players can succeed practicing a mere four and a half hours a day, so can you.
That's all for today's post.
First quarter of 2025 is over.
Gone to the past.
Never to be seen again.
I'll keep writing, one day at a time.
Living each moment, one post at a time π«
I'm Duon Ada.
I'm documenting 2025.
And I'll see you tomorrow
Ciao π
