First Sunday Service!
It's day 313 of documenting 2025.
52 days to 2026!
Happy Sunday 😊
It's a new week...and I had a new experience today.
The first time I went to church!
Fun fact is, before I resumed to the hostel, I met someone at a webinar who recommended a specific campus fellowship for me to attend.
Turns out, my roommate attends that same fellowship!
This morning, she took us to where the fellowship was held, and we had the service till 11am.
It was nice to be around other people...but I was just dozing off.
Not so good for my first service 😒
But I couldn't help it.
I woke up early this morning....around 3am.
I knew it was God that woke me up, because I had asked Him to wake me up earlier.
Then I went downstairs to charge my phone, because it was almost dead.
Then something happened.
I met a girl.
She was playing tunes on a guitar.
A guitar! 🎸
She was also charging her phone by that time...and we got to talk.
I learned her name and the fact that she was studying Music.
Nice! 🙂
We kept talking and I shared a joke with her. She actually laughed!
Then I listened as she practiced some tunes and I actually recognized a particular tune that she was playing.
It was a wonderful experience, despite the mosquitoes disturbing us.
She also plays the trumpet, which I sometimes hear playing in the recreation/charging room.
(Yeah! Our hostel has one)
She actually confirmed it, when I first asked her.
In my opinion, she's very talented and some sort of fighter.
Would you believe she asked if I have a fighting badge?
I told her no.
Me that I don't even know how to throw a punch 😂
She even said that if I was a professional fighter, we could be sparring partners. Too bad!
I just knew God brought me there for a reason...and after she left, I spent time by myself.
Actually, me and Abba
It's a name I recently started calling God...a fond name 🥰
So, I just played worship songs and immersed myself in the moment.
I danced, I prayed and I smiled most of the time.
It was a joyful moment....and The Word even says, "In His presence is fullness of joy".
That was literally it!
Then by the time my roommate called me, it was almost 6am.
And by then, my phone was sufficiently charged. I then went upstairs and got ready for church.
By the way, I was all clad in purple.
I didn't take any pictures tho....
Maybe next week.
Alright, that would be all for the updates.
Let's see today's highlights...and then I'll share a few thoughts.
Sounds good? Yeah 😄
365 Days With Self-discipline
📌 On What You Demand From Life
"Remember, no more effort is required to aim high in
life, to demand abundance and prosperity, than is
required to accept misery and poverty."
Quote by Napoleon Hill
It all comes down to what you demand from life.
Accept nothing less than abundance and prosperity, and if you combine it with diligent work, you’ll
eventually get it.
Tolerate misery and poverty, come up with rationalizations
about why you’re miserable, and bad fortune will stay in your life.
It’s important to understand that it takes virtually the same amount of effort
to come up with excuses as it is to find reasons why you can accomplish
something.
You can direct your energy either way, but only one of them leads to success.
The next time you catch yourself thinking that you’re destined to be unsuccessful and that you should accept your bad fortune, change your thoughts:
remind yourself about how dissatisfied you are with your current circumstances
and come up with reasons why you will be successful instead of continuing as
you are.
For example, while I was trying to build a successful business and failed
one time after another, I still kept reminding myself that I would never tolerate
being an employee.
Nothing would have stopped me from making my goal come
true; I would never accept anything else than abundance and prosperity.
They may sound trite, but some self-help bromides are actually true: your
attitude and expectations do impact your life in a big way.
I don't think there's anything to add to this really....
It's all loaded.
But I would just say that it's what one expects that he would get, when combined with his level of effort.
That's it 😌
Any other thoughts I would like to add? Not really...
Just that tomorrow is Monday and I have lectures tomorrow.
I've actually set what I would wear tomorrow, as well as my footwear.
In the morning, we move!
I'm hoping for a good week.
Lectures have all been arranged for my course.
Luckily, we don't have lectures on Friday...yet.
By God's grace, this week will go well.
I think that would be all for today's documentation.
Thanks for reading 🎀
