A Case For The Bible
It's day 324 of documenting 2025.
41 days to 2026!
Today was a lecture-free day.
Simply because the lecturer wasn't around.
I still thank God for today.
Everything worked out.
In the morning, all my focus was trying to contact the lecturer, but he wasn't picking my call.
I slightly panicked....because his response would determine if I was going to leave my hostel or not.
After more attempts, I was able to get through to him through his colleague on the lecturing team.
Immediately I got the update, I announced it in the group.
Unfortunately, I later learned that some students were already at the lecture hall.
I apologized because I realized that I should have contacted the lecturer earlier....like since yesterday.
Anyways, it all worked out in the end.
I was able to finish up pending work online, complete my note and also read up for another project that I've started working on.
All in a day's work 😄
And then my phone went really down in terms of battery and I had to charge up.
I couldn't charge it full tho...
Reason is that I had to go for a fellowship by 5:30pm.
It was wonderful to be in God's presence with other believers...and I also did a personal Bible study of my own.
Then I talked to Jesus and asked Him to speak to me, because I wanted to hear from Him.
Then after the service ended, we freshers were asked to wait behind.
Then a sister addressed us about the importance of building the foundation for first class results in our first year.
And I was like "wow!"
Everything she spoke about was the response I prayed for!
I then prayed for Jesus to show me what I would have to drop in order to focus on work.
Academic work 📚📝
I'm still waiting for His reply to that...but it seems I already know what I have to drop.
It is well with my soul 😌
Then I got a call from my coursemates who had dropped by for a visit.
Apparently, they were there since 7pm...and service ended by 9pm.
I rushed back to the hostel and met them there.
It was nice....chatting and laughing with them. One is the former acting course rep while the other is the current assistant.
My other coursemate who also stays in the hostel was there as well...and after we saw them off, she "complained" about how they stressed her.
Not actually....
It's just that she was with the guys since when they came two hours earlier.
I get it... dealing with guys can be a handful 😏
I grew up with three brothers!
So I know what I'm talking about.
Anyways, let's see today's highlights and then a few more thoughts (or not!) before I end today's post.
365 Days With Self-discipline
📌 On Ignoring the World When You’re Down
"So long as the man with ambition is a failure, the world will tell him to let
go of his ideal; but when his ambition is realized, the world will praise him for
the persistence and the determination that he manifested during his dark hours,
and everybody will point to his life as an example for coming generations.
This
is invariably the rule.
Therefore pay no attention to what the world says when
you are down. Be determined to get up, to reach the highest goal you have in
view, and you will."
Quote by Christian D. Larson
Larson’s words were as true during his era (he wrote those words in 1912)
as they are now.
If you’re ambitious — something that most people lack —
you’re already considered a little weird by society’s standards.
People will try to persuade you to give up or take it easy because it’s a
threat to their own egos.
If you — a person just like them — manages to turn his
or her dreams into reality, what does it say about their capabilities?
This invariably changes when you reach success. While you were down,
few people stopped to lend a helping hand or offer you words of support.
When
you’re successful, suddenly everyone proclaims that they knew from the get-go
that you would succeed.
If you’re currently struggling and feeling down, make an effort to surround
yourself with positive input as if you wanted to build a protective bubble around yourself.
Keep away from negative people who would love to finish you off with
their nasty remarks.Get up, try again, and keep going until you get there.
Take note of who was there for you while you were struggling and don’t
forget to reward them with your gratitude. As for the others?
Forget them; fair-weather friends are no friends at all.
Hmm 🤔
Advice of the moment!
I have heard/read/watched so many variations of this particular point.
That's why when I talk about positive input, the Bible is always among the top sources.
When you constantly read and find out what God says about you, you will always be in a good mood when you remember them.
You know what my dad calls The Bible?
"An old book with the latest information for this generation"
And it's so true.
It's no ordinary book, for it to be written thousands of years ago and still be relevant today.
That's undeniable truth.
Reading the Bible enabled me to learn more about my life and purpose on earth.
And a particular preacher by the name of Myron Golden helped me understand God's Word much better.
I thank God for pointing me to His living Word 🙏
If you're reading this, I would just tell you to read your Bible.
No sugar coating here.
To find out more about why you're here on earth, ask God to help you understand whenever you're reading. He will enlighten you 😌
Because the Bible is not just stories and gospel. It's a life manual.
Well, I think that would be all for today's documentation.
Thanks for reading 🎀
