More Congratulations 🎉

It's day 289 of documenting 2025.
76 days to 2026!

Mid-week already!
And I got a lot of congratulations from friends and well-wishers.
By this time next week, I would probably be on my way to the East.
Let's see how it goes...

As for how today went, it wasn't so bad.
The usual stay-at-home routine...and the home-tutoring session in the evening.
I think I was more online today than offline.
Drifting away again 😐
(Why does that always happen?)

Never mind...
Let's just get into Highlights for today and then I'll share a couple more thoughts.

365 Days With Self-discipline
📌 On Accounting for Taxes

"Everything you do has a tax attached to it.
For example, the tax on traveling is all the waiting around.
Disagreements and occasional frustration are taxes placed on even the happiest of relationships.

Theft is a tax on abundance and having things that other people want.
Stress and problems are tariffs that come attached to success.
Simply pay the taxes in life, and enjoy the fruits of what you get to keep."
Quote by Ryan Holiday

It’s exciting to set new goals and imagine how your life will change when you achieve them.

However, people often forget that everything in life has a tax attached to it.
When they wake up to the reality that their goals aren’t all roses and require some sacrifices on their part or generate problems, their excitement fades away and their odds of success decrease.

As Ryan Holiday notes, there are taxes on traveling, relationships, and financial success, but they aren’t limited just to those areas.

If you want to become healthier, one of the taxes is that you’ll have a harder time when you eat in a social setting.

If you want to get more fit, you’ll most likely have to forego some other activities in order to make time for physical activities.

If you want to become a bestselling author or become virtually any kind of an expert, you’ll undoubtedly attract critics.

Thinking about the dark side before you even start working on your goals doesn’t sound like a good way to motivate yourself, but it’s necessary to acknowledge it and be prepared for the fact that any change in life — including a positive one — will bring some new problems with it, and it’s a price you have to pay to enjoy it.

Taxes huh? 🤔
Right, there's always a price to pay for everything.
Even the "free" content you consume, you're still PAYING attention to it.

I learned this from a YouTube video of a guy called Myron Golden.
I guess the attention I paid to the video allowed me to know this particular concept.

Another thing is this...
We don't always know the exact details of God's plan for us.
We just know it's the best plan ☺️
But this should not stop us from making our strategies, that can help God's plan for us. (I just realized this now.)

Any other thoughts to add?
Not really...
I would just say that I'm excited about what the future holds, but sometimes I get carried away and try to hasten the process.

But God in His infinite mercy will always find a way to bring me back.
Then I would know that it's not yet time for that thing to happen.
I stop rushing.
Later on, when certain things happen...I would then say,
"thank God that didn't take place"
It's all by the grace and mercy of God 😌

Alright, let's round this up, shall we?
Yes we shall
Thanks for reading 🎀
You can catch up on the former posts on the main site, Documenting 2025.

And yeah...I finally owned up to the fact that I have written books.
I'm a writer, so why won't I showcase my works?
