Last Day Of October

It's day 304 of documenting 2025.
61 days to 2026!

Today?
I'm grateful 🥲
It's the last day of the month!

So much has happened in this month...
And a new chapter is unfolding.
I give all glory to God, because it's not by my power or might.
It's only by the grace of God 😌

Today wasn't so eventful....as I was at home, in my aunt's place.
It was chores all morning after breakfast...and into the afternoon.

By the time I was done, I was so exhausted and I was thinking about the worst case scenario...as I wasn't online all morning to work on my job.
After my bath, I took a long nap to rest up, as I couldn't concentrate on the task on my phone.

Then I came online a few hours ago, and it wasn't as bad as I had thought.
I'm done with all that now....but there's still more to be done.

Anyways, that's the update on how today went.
I'll still be indoors tomorrow, packing up for Sunday....when I'll be moving in.
Let's see today's highlights!

365 Days With Self-discipline
📌 On the Unsexy Reality of Work

"How much time can you spare each day? For that interval, close the door and — short of a family emergency or the outbreak of World War III — don’t let ANYBODY in. Keep working. Keep working. Keep working."
Quote by Steven Pressfield

Some people believe that super-productive individuals have some kind of a secret or a natural inborn talent that allows them to produce so much output.

However, the reality is unsexy: all they do is put themselves in front of their computers (or whatever else they need to do their job), close the door, and work.

There are no miraculous solutions, no pills, frameworks, or blueprints that the most productive people have to be able to produce more than you do.

When reading his masterpieces, it’s difficult to imagine Stephen King simply sitting in his room and tapping away on his keyboard, but that’s how his day-to-day life looks.

If you’re unsure whether you’re doing it “right” because there’s nothing attractive nor particularly outstanding in how you perform your daily work, stop worrying; everyone else — including world-class performers — works in the exact same way.

The only difference between you and them is that they have spent a bit more time than you have, working on their craft, but there’s a level playing field here that requires the same resources from every participant: self-discipline, persistence, and an unbreakable resolve.

Lesson here is: Just do the work.
And I think that's a reminder for me as well. Sometimes, I just....wander off.

When the work gets too overwhelming, I tend to shut down and escape.
But I'm training myself to keep going regardless, and to shut out the distractions.
It's a work in progress 🙂

In the end, it's the motivation that keeps me going.
The reason WHY I'm doing what I'm doing.
And even though I need to shut down so I can rest, I always get back to it.
"The show must go on", like them showbiz people say.

I actually wanted to share a chat I was going to have with ChatGPT.
I haven't chatted with it yet...so there's nothing to share.
Maybe a few more thoughts and we end today's post.

A friend of mine, PK asked if I had met my roommate yet.
I actually met one of them.
She said that she's actually using my space, that she's going to take her things out next week.
She looked like a nice person (who doesn't? 🙄)
She assured me that my mattress would be safe in the room.

She also mentioned that she's a senior and that she has graduated...just waiting to submit a particular document like that.
Then she was like, "do you need my number?"
I got her number, just in case....and she got mine.

I didn't actually meet anyone else in the room, only the senior.
Now, I actually can't remember what she said about the other three roommates.
But I think they're freshers, just like me.
Well, I hope it goes well when I get there on Sunday.

Okay! Anything else?
Not really....
Except maybe the fact that I discovered that the payment system of my Selar store isn't working properly!

Apparently, one of my followers on X tried to make payment for one of my ebooks with his card, but it kept showing me abandoned transaction.
I messaged him when I saw the email, and then he told me that there was something wrong with the payment system.

Then I tried to figure out what the problem was, but I could find anything wrong.
It's disheartening 😔
Somebody actually considers my work valuable, but he can't even pay for it. Oh well!

I believe that God knows why it's happening that way. I'll keep trying.
I'll talk to my friend about it...and see if he can help me figure something out.
Let's see how it goes 😌

Well, that would be all for today's post.
Thanks for reading 🎀
