Last Day In Lagos!
It's day 295 of documenting 2025.
70 days to 2026!
It's my last day in Lagos! 😄
I'm packed and ready to go...and by God's grace, we will make the trip safely.
Well, so far...I have met with some of my students from the school.
Pictures, hugs and moments of "we'll miss you oo".
It's funny to think that I won't see them again till God knows when.
It was heartfelt 😌
Something weird also happened.
For some reason, I got on Instagram today, after not posting in a while.
My page is on hold for now....
I gotta breathe, until the time I get settled over there.
Alright, let's get into Highlights for today....and then more thoughts from Duon-mind 😁
365 Days With Self-discipline
📌 On Wandering Aimlessly
We are engineered as goal-seeking mechanisms. We are built that way.
When we have no personal goal which we are interested in and which “means something” to us, we are apt to “go around in circles,” feel “lost” and find life itself “aimless,” and “purposeless.”
We are built to conquer environment, solve problems, achieve goals, and we find no real satisfaction or happiness in life
without obstacles to conquer and goals to achieve.
People who say that life is not worthwhile are really saying that they themselves have no personal goals which are worthwhile.
Quote by Maxwell Maltz
If you’ve been wandering aimlessly, asking yourself what’s the point of life and feeling like you have no purpose, it’s possibly because you don’t have any important long-term goals to achieve.
Whenever I found myself in such a situation, it was always during a
transitory period between finishing work on one important goal and looking for a new challenge.
When you reach an important long-term goal, by all means celebrate it, but don’t give yourself more than a couple of weeks to set a new challenge.
Failing to identify a new exciting target and living your life without any big goals eventually leads to depression.
I’m talking from my personal experience: if I don’t have a guiding star in the form of a significant long-term goal, I lose motivation for everything, including my passions.
For this reason, I always have secondary goals.
Whenever I accomplish my primary goal and don’t immediately come up with a new primary goal, I promote one of the secondary goals to become my new objective.
I strongly suggest creating a “waiting list” of goals to achieve, so that when you find yourself without a goal, you’ll be able to quickly refocus on a new challenge.

Exploding right in your mind! 🤯
And there's a story I want to share on that.
There's a guy who's a friend of mine....younger than me.
I usually see his status....and honestly it's nothing to write home about.
If it's not about desiring a relationship, it's about begging for attention or saying he's going to make it.
One day, he posted something along the lines of, "I'm going to make money....that's the goal".
Then I replied and said,
"That's a good one....how are you working towards it?"
You know what he said?
He said something like, "That is what I don't know....but I'm sure it's going to happen"
I shook my head 😪
I have been trying to convince this particular guy, let's call him G.
Months back, I encouraged him to search for a job.
For some reason, he didn't work towards it.
It seems like he's lacking the push, the urge, the drive to improve his life.
Right now, he's just wishing.
I have also encouraged him to go to God....but apparently he's also not interested 😒
I have prayed for him that God will show him why he needs to humble himself before Him.
I can't force him.
Only God can do what I can't do in his life, and I pray that it's not too late before that happens.
The guy's name even has "God" in it!
Let The Lord's will be done 😌
Well, that was quite a story, right?
It seemed like the perfect one to share.
G is my friend, no doubt.
And only Christ can deliver him.
Anyways.... it's evening now.
5:15 pm to be exact.
I'm trying to finish up this post and publish before nightfall.
I gotta rest up for the journey ahead.
Anything else I want to share? 🤔
Not really.
I'm just hopeful that everything will turn out well tomorrow.
And by the grace of God, it will.
My last day in Lagos wasn't so exciting....but it's much better.
Thank God for His mercy 🙏🏼
That would be all for today's post.
Tomorrow, will probably be the main gist day.
Let's see how it goes!
Thanks for reading 🎀
