How I Spent My Break
It's day 275 of documenting 2025.
90 days to 2026!
It's mid-week already...
And the vibes are vibing 😎
It's also a very early morning typing session...by 6:06 am.
I just figured that I should start today's post early.
And I'm not just doing nothing....I'm actually waiting for my sister who's in the bathroom...to come out.
Why not type while I wait?
Alright, alright...
Let's get it over with.
So, first I actually want to share something that happened this morning before I give you the gist of how yesterday's break went.
Few hours ago, I was just going through my WhatsApp messages when I got an email.
Someone had downloaded my poetry collection, Lanterns For The Lost...
For the first time! 😳
When I saw the email, I was like,
"how did it happen?"
Then it struck me.
The person is probably from X.
I've been very active on X lately....with almost 70 followers in less than a month!
Basically the highest platform following I've gained in a short time.
And the link to my Selar store, where all my ebooks are hosted, is on my profile.
That's probably where the person got the collection from.
It's actually a great start.
It means that people are kinda paying attention.
And a curious mind decided to see what my ebook is all about.
I hope he's not disappointed.
Well, it's back to the main gist for the day, which I will share after today's highlights.
And my sister is almost out of the bathroom, so maybe I'll continue this later in the day.
See ya! 😉
2:12 pm....
Okay I'm back!
I didn't have any classes to teach today because of the part-time teachers taking up most of the Thursday timetable.
It's not closing time yet, so I'm just making the most of this time before school closes by 3:30 pm.
So, where were we?
Ah yes....Highlights.
365 Days With Self-discipline
📌 On Staying a Champion
"You will never be entirely comfortable. This is the truth behind the champion — he is always fighting something.
To do otherwise is to settle."
Quote by Julien Smith
I’m sorry to break it to you, but if you expect that one day all discomfort will be gone from your life and you’ll be able to enjoy the fruits of your hard labor for the rest of your days, you’re wrong.
If you not only want to become a champion, but also stay a champion, by definition you’ll always need to fight something: fight to reach a new goal, overcome hardships, expand your comfort zone, and continue improving yourself little by little.
If you’d like to stay a champion, accept the fact that discomfort is here to stay.
Embrace it as a teacher that will strengthen you and help you achieve ever greater feats, not as an annoying part of the process that you’d like to put behind as quickly as possible.
Yep! Discomfort is here to stay...
And I'm feeling very uncomfortable right now.
Why? Because I need to use the ladies room but I can't do so in school.
I'm waiting for school to close, so I'm typing to pass the time.
(Might as well finish this while I wait)
Ignoring the discomfort, I'll just gist you about how yesterday went..like I promised.
Here we go:
For my break, I had planned (in my mind) to do a bit of laundry and visit a friend.
But things turned out a bit different.
Even better.
I spent time with God, talking to Him and studying my Bible.
That was in the morning/early afternoon.
I worked on my phone and set up a few things..as well as messaging interested persons for the content creation training that I'll be organizing this month.
So far, more than 4 people have indicated their interest.
All that's left is the lessons I'm going to teach them.
That is also something I'm working on right now..maybe after this blog.
Towards evening time, I watched an I interesting movie with my siblings which lasted till 10 pm.
What a way to end the day!
The movie was actually about a boy with a genetic condition I just learned about by watching the movie itself.
The condition?
Osteogenesis Imperfacta.
Apparently, it's a condition that makes the person's bones very brittle.
A slight fall or hit and a bone or two
would break.
Lesson of the movie: despite your condition, you should always be grateful and cherish every moment.
Something the father learned from his own son.
Yesterday had snacks, laughter and hope for good tidings in the new month 😌
It was an Independence Day to remember
Anything else I want to add?
Well yes.
Like I had thought, the person who downloaded my ebook is from X.
She replied the post I made about the ebook...saying that she had downloaded it.
She also said it's an interesting read.
Made me smile 😊
You can also check out the book if you want. It's a soul-speak poetry collection called Lanterns For The Lost.
Let's just end on that note.
Thanks for reading 🎀
You can always read the former posts on the main website, Documenting 2025.
See you in the next post 💜
