Are You Fascinated?

It's day 149 of documenting 2025.

It's another day for Focus Series.
Yep! I said it!
Err.....scratch that 😐
It's just Thursday.

Ignore the silly start, my friend...
The beginnings are sometimes messy, aren't they?
But it gets better, surely.

I finished the third chapter of another book I'm reading, The Ultimate Focus Strategy by Martin Meadows.
I finished the last section after reading through day 149 of the usual read.
Highlights on that later...

I take 10 minutes to read section of the two books.
How I know?
I set a timer for 10 minutes only.
Ten minutes of reading daily usually compounds, doesn't it?
Besides, the usual read is what I call a consistency companion for this blog.
It's how I tell myself,
"Heads up, Duon! It's time to write!"

Tomorrow will mark 150 days since I started this blog.
I mark a milestone every 50 days.
The next milestone is day 200.
But tomorrow, I want to try something different.
Anticipate!....and don't miss it, okay?

That aside, I want to share a recap of the chapter I finished yesterday.
Chapter 3.
Chapter 1 is Start.
Chapter 2 is Focus
And this one? Get Fascinated.
Alright, Duon...less talk, more recap!

STEP 3 — GET FASCINATED: QUICK RECAP

1. The third step addresses the fact that even if you’re a master of self-
discipline, it’s necessary to be fascinated by what you’re doing.

Developing an intense interest in reaching your goals and making it a part of everything you do on a daily basis will make it easier to stick to your resolutions.

2. There are three areas of your life that you should change to become fascinated by your objective: your thoughts, your everyday routine, and your habits and hobbies.

Get your mind occupied with thoughts related to your objective, so that even when you can’t do anything to progress forward, you can at least think about what you’ll do when you can.

Visualize the process needed to reach your goals.
Change your daily routine so it aligns with your goal and any actions, sacrifices, and changes you need to implement to succeed (for instance, waking up early to work on your business if you don’t have time during the day).

Last but not least, if necessary, sacrifice some of your habits and hobbies to find more time, energy, and/or opportunities to work on your goal.

If you want to live the life of travel within the next five years, forget about traveling for now and double down on the actions needed to make it come true by generating
enough income to do so.

3. Practice the art of positive brainwashing by writing down your personal vision and your most important principles, and then reading them every day.

Describing your personal vision will help you discover how you want your life to look, and that in turn will guide you each day to make sure you’re getting closer to that particular vision.
Your most important principles will serve as a guiding star by helping you make decisions that will keep you on the right path.

In addition to that, build your own “success bubble” by developing more awareness as to who you invite into your social circle and how they affect your performance. You’re under no obligation to spend time with people who have a negative impact on your life.
In addition to that, avoid negative news and other negative stimuli that have zero positive influence on you.

That's all for the recap.
I hope you now have an idea or two on why you should and how to get fascinated with what you do.
Moving on....Highlights!

365 Days With Self-discipline
📌 On The Weak Point In Your Armor

"The individual can attain self-control in great things only through self-control in little things. He must study himself to discover what is the weak point in his armor, what is the element within him that ever keeps him from his fullest success.
This is the characteristic upon which he should begin his exercise in delf-control.
Is it selfishness, vanity, cowardice, morbidness, temper, laziness, worry, mind-wandering, lack of purpose? — whatever form human weakness assumes in the masquerade of life he must discover."

Quote by William George Jordan

Key point here....Self-awareness.
Study you, my friend
Know your tendencies...good or bad.
This is the first step to personal growth and development.
Why I say so?
Because the fact is you can't change what you don't know about yourself.
I think I'll make a whole post on this topic later on...

"Inspect your armor and find its weakest point, the common thread that leads you into most temptations or poses the biggest barrier to achieving your goals."

"What are your own weak points? How do they affect your goals and what can you do to fix those weaknesses, to prevent them from continuing to affect your life in a negative way?"
That's the million dollar question.

You write down your goals? ✍️
Splendid.
Now, figure out your weak points...or if you already know them, write them down.
After that, write down how they affect your goals.
Lastly, write down how you can fix those weak points.
And you can also ask ChaGPT to give you ideas you can implement.
Trust the process 😌

Let's move to another section.
One that I introduced a few weeks back.
It's more like a trip down memory lane for me...
And the analytics for this blog tell me that there's been no clickthrough on the link I share in this section.
The link to a former post...the early days of this blog.

I'm not discouraged tho....
I'm more empowered to continue.
Because it always reminds of how far I've come in my writing journey.
How far I've grown 🌱
So, it doesn't matter if you click or not (no harsh tone here...).
I'm still writing my story.

Blast From The Past
📌 Devil: How To Make A Man Fail?

This was day 16.
And this post was particularly interesting because I tried something weird.

I had watched a video on Facebook where a man talking about ChstGPT's response to this question:
If you were the Devil, how would you stop someone from achieving success?
Pretty weird, right?

Curious me decided to try out the prompt and I got a mind-blowing response.
In summary, if ChatGPT were the Devil, his approach to stopping someone from achieving success would be planting seeds of doubt, distraction and fear.

Seven ways he would do this:
1. Sow doubt and fear
2. Encourage procrastination
3. Promote comfort over growth
4. Exploit comparison
5. Undermine their focus
6. Break their discipline
7. Create a negative mindset

I shared all of the strategies in the post...as well as how to flip them in order to achieve success.

Anything else to add?
Hmm 🤔
I don't think so.
I'm in school...teaching myself and the students.
And it's going to be a great day!

Nice way to end a post, right?
I agree, my friend 🎀
Thank you for joining me on this journey...as I live each day in 2025, one post at a time.
You can catch up on posts from last week by visiting the main site, Documenting 2025.
I'll see you there 😉

As always, I'm Duon Ada.
I'm documenting 2025,
And I'll see you tomorrow.
Ciao 💕
