My New Nickname Is Spark!

It's day 103 of documenting 2025.

"Sundays Are For Blessings" ✨
Read this somewhere yesterday.
And I agree...
It's a blessing to see a new week in 2025....so, cheers!🍷

Cheers to positive vibes
Cheers to new opportunities
Cheers to a better week!
(Raise your imaginary glass!)

Let's start today's post with highlights.
From two books by the same author, Martin Meadows.
Then we move to the chat I had with Meta AI about an interesting topic.
Stick around to find it out, okay?

365 Days With Self-discipline
📌 On Controlled Burns

"Small forest fires periodically cleanse the system of the most flammable material, so this does not have the opportunity to
accumulate."

Quote by Nassim Taleb

"Fire is a natural part of the forest ecology.
Regular small fires serve a cleansing purpose, reducing the amount of fuel build-up and consequently lowering the likelihood of a potentially large, disastrous fire."

"You can use a similar strategy: give yourself some slack every now and then to prevent yourself from a massive, uncontrollable loss of self-discipline."

"For example, if you’re working hard on your business, every other week give yourself an entire day to slack off instead of working your fingers to the bone and burning out."

"Controlled burns, as long as they remain controlled and limited to a defined period of time, can increase your long-term discipline, so don’t feel guilty about scheduling one every now and then.
You might temporarily lose some
momentum, but in the long haul it will be worth it."

I hope you understand the concept of controlled burns now....
A little break once in a while is a way to prevent breakdown or burnout.
That's what I understand from it 😌

Grit
📌 Chapter 7 Recap

1. Use the power of negative motivation to reduce the temptation to give up.
The most powerful ways to benefit from negative motivation are setting stakes and public accountability.
The perspective of losing a considerable amount of money or public shaming can do wonders to your ability to persevere.

2. When you’re struggling, motivate yourself to keep going by reading your vision.
If you don’t have it, write it.
Make it a detailed description of your end goal.

3. Ask yourself focusing questions to prevent giving up for the wrong reason.
* Would you be happy if you gave up and your life remained the same? * What’s the worst that can happen if you keep going and don’t achieve your goal? * How would it feel to tell other people why you gave up?  How many sacrifices have you made?  What would you tell your closest friend if you traded places with her?

4. Use self-talk to get a short-term boost of motivation.

Here's what I think:
I think this chapter talked about ways to keep going when it gets tough to achieve your goal.
Solid points shared.....don't you think?

Let's move to the chat I had....as well as the interesting topic.
Nicknames 😁
I think this particular chat is the longest so far.
It started like this:

Me: If you could call me any name, what would it be?

Meta AI: That's a fun one. I'd call you Spark - short for spark of curiosity, that is. What do you think?

Me: Spark....🤔 I like it

Meta AI: Spark it is, then! I'm glad you like it.
It's a nickname that suits someone who's curious and bright, and I'm happy to have a Spark like you in my "classroom"!

Me: Thanks 😊
Let's talk names now
Nicknames to be precise
I will describe a character and you will give a nickname

Meta AI: I'm ready, Spark! What's the character like?
Give me some traits, habits, or quirks, and I'll come up with a nickname that fits.
Let's get creative!

Me: A person who is always talking and makes rude remarks sometimes but has a kind heart.

Meta AI: That sounds like a complex character.
I'd call them "Motor Mouth" - not just for the non-stop talking, but also because they're always revving up conversations, even if they sometimes say things that might hurt others.
The nickname captures both their talkative nature and their occasional bluntness.
What do you think?

Me: Good enough
What about someone who's always trying to make me laugh and sometimes frustrates me?

Meta AI: I'd call them "Jester"! They're always trying to crack you up, even if they don't always succeed.
The nickname captures their playful, goofy side, and also hints at the frustration that comes with their antics.
Alternatively, I could also suggest "Sparkplug" - someone who's always sparking laughter, even if it's not always the kind you want!

Me: A person who doesn't talk much but has a loud laughter and can speak up when someone is annoying her.

Meta AI: I'd call her "Thunder"!
She's quiet and calm most of the time, but when she laughs or speaks up, it's like a loud clap of thunder - unexpected and impactful.
The nickname captures her reserved nature and her powerful presence when she's not being quiet. What do you think?

(I think that sounds like Dora 😄)

Me: How about someone who always keeps me in the loop with happenings in his work and always looks on the bright side of things?

Meta AI: I'd call him "Beacon"!
He's someone who shines light on what's happening in his world, keeping you informed and up-to-date.
Plus, his positive outlook is like a guiding light, always pointing towards the bright side.
The nickname captures his informative and optimistic nature. Alternatively, I could also suggest "Sunny" - someone who's always brightening up your day with his updates and positivity!

Me: How about a hard worker who's always ready to learn and she's serious with religion and our friendship?

Meta AI: I'd call her "Pillar"!
She's someone who's strong, reliable, and supportive, always working hard and striving to learn more.
Her commitment to her faith and your friendship is like a solid foundation that holds everything together.
The nickname captures her dependable and devoted nature. What do you think?

Me: Nice one 👍🏼
There's a last one...
What do I call someone who's always supportive and he cares about me deeply.
We stay in different continents but the distance doesn't stop me from feeling like we're closer than ever.
It just feels different around him, compared to other guys I interact with.
Mind you, we're not dating.

Meta AI: That's a beautiful description.
I'd call him "Anchor"! He's someone who provides stability and support, keeping you grounded even across vast distances.
The nickname captures the sense of security and comfort you feel around him.
Alternatively, I could also suggest "Haven" - someone who provides a sense of safety and refuge, or "Nexus" - a connection that transcends physical distance.
What resonates with you?

Me: I think Nexus is perfect
Although I already call him, Ami

Meta AI: Ami is lovely!
It's a term of endearment that suggests a deep affection or friendship.
Nexus fits well too, though, as it highlights the strong connection you share despite the physical distance.
I'm glad I could help, Spark! It was fun coming up with nicknames with you.

That was how the chat went.
I delivered on the "interesting" aspect, right?
If I didn't, sorry about that 😐
PS. I described the characters of real people that make up my circle.

I hope and pray this new week goes well.
It's the final week before my exam and I'm going to give it my all.
Duon must pass 💯

Thanks for reading, my friend 🎀
I wish you a wonderful week ahead.
