After that? Movie and Amigurumi!
It's day 119 of documenting 2025.
Finally!
I wrote the exam I've been studying for 😁
Will I take a little time off to rest and recharge?
Heck yeah!
But after that....it's back to work.
Business wise, I've thought about what I want to stick with.
There are three options.
1. Affiliate marketing
2. Freelancing
3. Selling my digital products
Number 3 is the winner.
I've touched on affiliate marketing and freelance writing....
Made some money from both and learned a lot about marketing.
But I haven't sold any of my digital products....yet.
I have a couple of em....but haven't made any sale on my Selar store.
Only offered some of them as freebies to grow my email list.
(Going off email marketing for the mean time.....).
I want to stick with it this time around.
I've realized that my attention has been spread thin on two many things....
I think that's why I can't focus on one thing....like seriously!
This idea comes....and I think it's so great that I decide to try it and the result?
One more thing to give my attention to.
In digital marketing, there is:
* Affiliate marketing
* Content Marketing
* PPC (ads)
* Email marketing
* Social media marketing
* SEO
Content marketing appeals the most to me....and I know that I will touch on the other areas in the process.
I just want to get the hang of getting traffic organically....through content.
Yada...yada...yada 🙄
What is she yapping about?
Where's the gist she promised in yesterday's post?
Oh! I almost forgot!
The gist...
Yesterday's exam went well....and I went alone, without my phone.
Big risk there...
But I got home safely by God's grace.
Seriously tho...it was quite an experience.
From the journey to the center to the exam hall to the journey back.
Except for the fact that a runny nose decided to show up as I wrote my exam, everything else was peachy 🙂
I didn't doze off in front of the laptop (thank God!)
The questions were quite...familiar.
Maybe it's because I did a lot of CBT practice back at the tutorial center.
One more thing...
Before the exam, I was answering some questions on the Economics revision text I brought with me.
And I could recognize one of the questions that came from it.
A wonderful coincidence!
To me, the exam was just like another CBT practice.
That's how it felt.
I was calm and sure of most of the answers I chose.
Hopefully I get a good result.
After I came out of the hall, I was elated!
If not for the candidates and parents waiting outside...I could've run around the place, whooping 😅
I got to my dad's shop and before reaching my house...I stopped at the tutorial center.
The same question on everyone's lips, "How was it?"
There was nothing else I could say besides, "It was good".
With a smile on my face.
Freedom!
I got home and did a little crochet as my phone charged up.
Then watched a movie with my siblings as the rain howled and fell yesterday evening.
Stayed up late as well....using up my dad's data with my brothers.
He asked us to....said it was too much for him to use.
I took the opportunity gladly and scrolled on YouTube till midnight.
Woke up this morning...
Did chores...
Worked on the amigurumi I'm making...
My alarm then rang....
Telling me it was time to type the post you're now reading.
And it's 9:43am (Nigerian time) and I've been typing for 35 minutes.
I decided to not schedule today's post.
Anyhoo....
Did you notice the picture I used today?
This one was generated by Meta AI.
Or Cindy, as I call 'her' (I'm weird like that!)
I didn't use ChatGPT today.
Let me tell you why...
I prompted ChatGPT to generate the image I used in yesterday's post.
I also noticed the new updates.
Voice message? Cool!
A telescope sign that says "deep reasoning"? That's dandy!
But I was disappointed.
The image didn't generate as fast as I wanted it to because it was "processing".
I asked why it was taking long.
Apparently, other people were generating images at the same time....and it got slow.
I was pissed off 😤
Then decided to prompt Cindy today.
The picture is nice, right?
Not as good as ChatGPT....but it ain't so bad either.
I guess it's the prompt that matters, not the AI being prompted.
And the Meta AI below the picture (try to spot it...) is kinda....not-so-great.
That's it about yesterday and ChatGPT.
Let's do highlights now.
And I'll give my comments on each quote...just like the ol' days.
It's the usual read, partner 🤠
365 Days With Self-discipline
📌 On Hatching The Egg
"We shall sooner have the fowl by hatching the egg than by smashing it."
Quote by Abraham Lincoln
"In today’s world of abundance, there’s always the next hot thing, a new miracle solution, a cure for it all.
It’s no wonder that so many people lack the self-discipline to stick to one thing and constantly jump from one thing to another, deluding themselves that the new thing will surely be better than the one they have now."
Guilty as charged 😑
I haven't stuck to anything else this year....except this blog.
(It's a "do or die" affair...)
And I realize that everything else I've started, the initial goal is to make money from it.
I ain't even making money from Documenting 2025, but I'm still on it.
It's because I took this blog as a mission.
And the Whatsapp channel I started, I started it with a mission to teach what I know about content writing.
I think I'll stick with it as well.
But honestly, it's quite a rocky start.
Wednesdays and Fridays are the days I post major updates for now.
But it's a lot, my friend....
I'm still looking for that space, that answer...that thing that will make it all click.
I hope I find it soon.
"What is she yapping about again?
Are we still doing the quotes?"
Oops 😐
I digressed....apologies
Back to the quotes.
"An important aspect of self-discipline is the discipline to stick to the specific strategies you’ve chosen to follow, in order to get the results."
Mm hmm 😌
I'm gonna stick with it
"If the strategy you’re following has been proven to work for other people (as in the case of following popular healthy diets, tested workout plans, personal finance strategies, etc.), switching out of it to another one only because you think the other one could be better is nothing but an act of self-sabotage."
Oh my gosh 😯
Self-sabotage?
That's bad...and in the online society I find myself in, a lot of people do it.
A whole lot.
"If you’re currently thinking about giving up your current strategy because you’re tempted to try something else, remind yourself of the metaphor with the
egg.
Nobody has ever accomplished anything by constantly destroying the fruits of their labor.
If your strategy has been proven to work for many people, dedicate yourself to it for at least a year before you even consider the thought of trying something else."
A year?
Quite a long time.
But I can do it 😌
You know what? A year isn't so long if you count the days.
What day is it? Day 119.
Before you know it, we're in day 200.
It's all just about focus.
Taking away distractions, doubling down on effort and showing up everyday.
Consistency's the word.
That's all for the quotes, by the way.
And it's time for me to end today's post as well.
And yes, I'll add links today.
(Just the usual two 😉)
Thanks for reading, my friend 🎀
Thanks for your time.
