Playing Tic-Tac-Toe With Dora

It's day 77 of documenting 2025.

Today is another great day, my friend 🎀
It's another opportunity for you and I to build something significant.
Let's keep on with the grind 💪🏼
Success may be closer than we think.

Before today's highlights, let me blab about how yesterday went.
Should I go on?
Yes?
Alright....because you asked 😌

I had scheduled my first post of the week and I didn't have to wake up by 4am.
I slept well, to be honest
All I did after my morning routine was to get the link and post to my status and Facebook page.
Then I went on with my day.

Finished with WhatsApp, read Chemistry, did a bit of crochet....
Then had a nap, did a little laundry, got on a call with my good friend overseas....
Hold on!
Why all the mundane stuff?
Well, the good stuff usually happens when I'm at the tutorial center....most times.
So I went to the tutorial center.

I saw Dora yesterday 😊
She looked happy and even got up from her seat to meet me.
She's not like other people...and I noticed that students don't really like talking to her.
Maybe it's because of her size or because she's not so coherent with her speech.
It seems I'm the only person who understands her.

We played tic-tac-toe....
You know, the game with the 9 spaces, X and O.
She said she knew how to play it at first but in the first round, I beat her hands down.
And again....and again
It seems she knows how to play the game but not how to win it.
So, I taught her a few tricks on how to block my win.
The game didn't last long tho 😐
Her teacher came along.

If you're wondering who Dora is, she was a shy girl I started talking to at the tutorial center.
Now, she's not so shy anymore.
She can be a chatterbox if you piss her off....
So, don't try it 😏
If you want to read about how I approached her for the first time, check the main website.
Search for a post titled "Courage.....And Meeting Dora"
That's the one.

Anyhoo, something else happened.
Someone contacted me, I would say an online acquaintance.
He told me he wants to be a content writer/blogger.
He asked me to teach him.
I was like, wow 😲
Because this was the second person to ask me to teach him.
The first, being my first affiliate marketing mentor.
I told this acquaintance that I wouldn't teach him for free.

Guess what?
He went straight to, "how much are we talking about here?"
I gave him a discount price because he's going to be my first official student.
I talked about what he could learn from me and he asked questions, which I answered honestly.

One of which was, "does it pay?"
Absolutely 🤑
But I told him he would have to learn first before thinking about getting paid.
At the end, he told me he would get back to me as soon as possible.

Am I hoping he comes back?
Yes....but I won't dwell on the thought.
I acted like I knew what I was doing.
Hopefully I do 😅
After the chat ended, I thought of the possibility of a paid group where I could teach people my process.
A process which hasn't been clearly defined....

I have a lot of reflection to do, my friend...
Thinking back on how far I've come.
The frustrations of affiliate marketing, the deception of quick money making and the final switch to doing what I loved to do best......writing.
I think I know how I can monetize my skill....by teaching it and helping businesses with my service.
I just gotta put a name on it 😁

I'm not much of a teacher tho....
But I can learn.
I also know how to manage a group, because I practiced earlier with a group I brought together earlier.
Then, I taught AI prompting.
Now, it's the whole package.....passion and profit.
But first, I have to draw up a plan.
I know my "why"....I know my "how"....
I just need to figure out my "what".
I believe I can figure it out 🙂

That's all for now...
I'm done with my ramblings for today...🗣️
Let's get into highlights.
If you've been following this blog, I'm sure you know the usual read.
As well as Tuesday's read.
If you're not following this blog, I'd say you're missing out.
But I won't brag.
Documenting 2025 is probably NOT the most interesting blog on the Internet.

365 Days With Self-discipline
📌 Day 77: On Hurting Yourself With Your Own Judgements

"If you are pained by any external thing, it is not this thing that disturbs you, but your own judgment about it.
And it is in your power to wipe out this judgment now."

Quote by Marcus Aurelius

"Whenever you find yourself doubting that you can achieve your goal because you made a mistake or failed to hold out against a temptation, remind yourself that it’s in your power to give this event either a negative or a positive meaning; you can consider it as a reason to give up or as a valuable lesson that will help you in your future endeavors."

Let me explain this way.
Assume you're on a no-sugar diet.
Then one day, you couldn't resist having a bowl of your favorite ice cream 🍨
Does that mean your diet is ruined?
Well, it depends on your judgement.
You can see it as a reason to quit your diet....
Or as an opportunity to point out what made you lose control and figure out how do better next time.

The 5 Second Rule
📌 Change Is Simple, Not Easy

"If you can change your morning routine, you can change anything.
Change requires you to act deliberately, despite how you feel.
If you can master that in one area of your life, you can do it in any area that you are trying to improve."

"When you start to count 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, it is the beginning of a chain reaction that not only awakens the prefrontal cortex, but also gets you ready to make that physical “initial huge push” that’s required to change."

"If you can’t get yourself out of bed, then you’ll never be able to pursue all of the other changes that you want to make in your life.
And if you take that simple step of taking control of your mornings, you’ll catalyze a chain of events that leads to change everywhere."

"If you can get up on time, start your day powerfully, plan ahead, think about your goals, and focus on yourself, all before you get bogged down in your daily routine, then you will simply accomplish more.
This is the first step to taking
control of your life."

All these quotes sum up beautifully, the importance of a good morning routine.
Simple activities you do before staring at your device.
Actions that set you up for a successful day.

Waking up early is something I'll keep doing.
It has actually become a habit for me, as my timer is always set to ring everyday.
And I'm more excited to wake up these days, mainly because of my blog.
I know, I know....studying....JAMB exam....
They're important.
But I do that before I sleep, so I can retain the information.

I hope day goes well, my friend 😊
Thanks for reading another episode of "Duon's Not Perfect".
(So, I like to call it.....)
I will always introduce myself at the end of the post, so here it goes:

I'm Duon Ada, the eccentric writer.
A gal in her twenties exploring life and opportunities.
I'm documenting 2025.
And I'll see you tomorrow
Ciao 💕
