I'm Swapping Places With You, Reader!

It's day 79 of documenting 2025.

Guess what?
I posted the first update on my new Whatsapp channel yesterday.
After sharing the update to my status, I got two followers.
On the first day! 🎉

It's kind of a big deal...two people want to be part of the journey.
The journey of the Mystique Content Writers brand....or MCW for short.
You can be part of it as well...nd watch it grow.
Follow the channel here.
Thanks for your support, my friend 😊

Anything else spectacular I want to share?
Not really....I'm still thinking of what else to say...
You know what?
Let just get into the book highlights for today.
I'm sure something will pop up at the end.

365 Days With Self-discipline
By Martin Meadows
📌 Day 79: On Books

"Books are the quietest and most
constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counsellors, and the most patient of teachers."

Quote by Charles William Eliot.

"Continuing the topic of support, by far the most important friend on my journey of building self-discipline, developing mental resilience, and working on my long-term goals were non-fiction books that were written by people who have achieved my dreams."

"Book were, are, and will always be one of the most valuable things a person wishing to change themselves can learn from to make their dreams come true."

I love books 📚
Sharing quotes from the books I read daily, does two things.
1. I get to share what I learn here.
2. It helps me stay consistent with reading daily; even if it's one section of the book.
I wish most of the books I read were not from from my phone tho...
I like to hold a book in my hands.
But here we are...in the age of digital books.
I'm okay with it 🙂
My virtual library will become a real one in the nearest future.

Everybody Writes
By Ann Handley
📌 Swap Places With Your Readers

"Good writing serves the reader, not the writer. It isn't self-indulgent. Good writing anticipates the questions that readers might have as they're reading a piece, and it answers them."

"Swap places with your reader. Be a skeptic of your own work.
Get out of your own head, and into your reader's or your customer's.
Relentlessly, unremittingly, obstinately think of things from your readers' point of view, with empathy for the experience you are giving them."

"....you (as a marketer or content creator) should be the customer advocate.
The only people your content needs to please are your readers.
Because ultimately you serve them, and not your boss or your CEO or your client."

"Why? If the customer loves your content, so will your boss or client. But the inverse isn't necessarily true: if only your boss loves it, it won't achieve what your organization needs it to."

"So write your first draft as you usually would—then go back and rework it, swapping places with your readers to consider things from their point of view, with honest empathy for the experience you are giving them."

As an eccentric writer, my purpose for writing a post daily is different.
Would I call it self-indulgent?
Maybe 🤔
Does it qualify as good writing?
You decide.
I can probably write a good piece of content...but that's not the reason why I started this blog.

I started Documenting 2025 to build the habit of consistency.
Doing something everyday, no matter how you feel that day.
I also did it to keep memories of each day...not the forget the experiences that made each day worth writing about.
I'm sticking with it 💪🏼

That's all for highlights now
I hope you learned a thing or two.
I don't only read about personal development....
I also read about social media marketing and writing as well.

Yes! I remember now...
Yesterday, I didn't take my phone along with me to the tutorial center.
I will admit, my bag felt lighter.
I was able to study "Theory Of Production" in Economics.
I didn't miss it so much; and the classes didn't lack the element of laughter.
Yesterday was all good 😊
Hopefully today goes better.

Now, I'm going to end this post with a few words.
(Clearing my throat 🗣️)
Most times, we may never know the impact we have on someone's life by interacting with the person, even if it's just once.
One act of BOLD kindness can make a huge difference.
Others don't always know how you feel, only you do.

So, if your gut feeling tells you to make that move, just do it.
Even when you're scared 😳
There's nothing more empowering than feeling the fear and doing it anyways.
Take that bold step today!

Thanks for reading, my friend 🎀
Thanks for the support and the encouragement.
I'm grateful 🥲
