Okay, if I were to pick something random, I would say...

"Tuesdays are for....trends"

What trends?

Any kind.

It's officially 30 days before the commencement of the JAMB exam nationwide.

Gives me the jitters 😬

I've been studying....but as the exam draws closer, I get more nervous.

My mind has played scenes of what might happen on that day.

But what will actually happen is what I look forward to.

Like they say, "do your best and leave the rest to God"

I'm doing just that.

By the way, did I mention that it rained in my area yesterday?

The first semi-heavy rains 🌧️ 

Of the rainy season....

(Just me saying that!)

The weather was pleasantly cool tho....

What they call, "weather for two" 😏

At least, I didn't need my handkerchief to wipe off sweat.

Well, this doesn't mean I don't like the sunny weather 

I pray for sunlight today.

Several clothes need a-drying!

Alright!!

📌 Day 84: On Work And Chatter

"If you often talk about what you’re going to do instead of doing it, you’re not only wasting time you could have spent working on your goal, but also run the risk of not doing anything at all."

Yeah...that's why I'm keeping private my most important goal for this year.

It's something I don't even want to talk about....

"Self-congratulatory chatter carries with it the danger that you confuse it with what actually matters: work. Merely talking about your goals doesn’t turn you into a person who is working on them."

The only time to talk is when the goal has been completed or almost  completed.

"But don’t worry, everybody thinks you’re taking a lot of action based on how much you talk about business and that’s what matters, right? 

Sadly, while it can gain you points for popularity among the gullible, it isn’t a substitute for work and achievement."

The deception of social media 😒

I saw a video once where a guy said, "what you see online is their chapter 20, not your chapter 1".

Meaning, they have struggled to get to what they're now celebrating.

Talking won't get you the results....doing the work will.

"To ensure that you actually do the work and get the results, be cautious talking about your goals with others. 

Use a simple rule of thumb: if you’re talking merely to show off, save it. 

If you’re talking to gather valuable feedback or get support, do it, but what’s more important, actually act on the advice you receive."

Solid advice 💯 

Actually act on the advice you receive, don't just talk about it some more...

These four paragraphs can be summarized into four sentences

It's been a while since I shared one of my poems here.

But no worries...it's for the content work I'm doing with my mentor friend.

We're just trying different strategies on how to get more views and followers

The Weight of Expectation

I do not chase the words I used to write,

Each line now heavy, dragging through my mind.

My steps are slow, my fire lost its light,

A dream once bright now blurred and left behind.

I seek the thrill, the fleeting, quick delight,

While patience fades like embers in the rain.

The dull and quiet waits beyond my sight,

Replaced by slumber’s soft, enticing chain.

Yet still I hear the world’s unyielding call—

Their hopes and whispers pressing down on me.

Their voices rise, a never-ending thrall,

Reminding me of who I’m meant to be.

If I should rise, embrace the path ahead,

Then future me will not be left for dead.
