1st Of March.....Assessment Time!

It's day 60 of documenting 2025.

Happy New Month to you 🥰
I wish you nothing but the best in all of your endeavors
Let's keep going!

By midnight, I planned to call my friend.
Wish him a happy new month and all....
But for some reason, I hesitated.
I didn't feel so certain he would pick the call.
So I just left it and went to bed.
Now, I just saw his message that confirmed he was busy with something.
If I had called, I would be distracting him and he may not tell me that...
I guess it was good I didn't go through with the call 🤷🏼

That aside, I want to share an overview of my week so far.
It was good because I had more conversations than usual.
"Interviews", Q and A moments and relevant conversations.

You know Dora? The shy girl I got the courage to talk to?
She's now more expressive.
She talks more audibly.
She even laughs more.

It's good to see someone come out of their shell.

I also figured out my learning strategy for JAMB.
Topic by topic for each subject.
Then I employ the use of textbooks, ChatGPT and the JAMB app I activated.
It's all good, I just have to stick with it and put in more hours.
So far, I can say my week went well.
And I hope this new week and month will be much better for all of us 😌

Last month, I did something on its last day and I did that same thing yesterday.
On the last day of February.
So, I did a general assessment of the month and wrote some things down.
This list of questions guided my thoughts:
1. Accomplishments: What were your biggest achievements this month?

2. Lessons Learned: What important lessons did you learn?

3. Challenges: What obstacles did you face, and how did you overcome them?

4. Feedback: What feedback did you receive, and how can you act on it?

5. Skills Developed: What new skills did you acquire?

6. Goals for Next Month: What are your objectives moving forward?

7. Habits: Which habits helped or hindered you, and what will you change?

I had to think for a while to answer some of them.
But I answered all and wrote it down, especially the goals.
I will work towards achieving them this month 💪

You can also try it.
It's still March 1st.
You can copy the questions and try to answer them.
Be honest about the things that didn't go well for you, and try to adjust.
It's your monthly assessment...no one has to see it 🙂

Any other thoughts? 🤔
Not really....let's get into the highlights for today.
Like I promised, I'm going to share the highlights for yesterday's read.
So, today's highlights will be from:
* 365 Days With Self-discipline by Martin Meadows
* Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook by Gary Vaynerchuck (more about social media marketing)
Weird name for a book but it teaches you more about social networks and content creation than boxing 🥊
Let's dive in!

Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook
📌 The Characteristics Of Great Content And Compelling Stories
(continued)

".....putting the wrong kind of content on a platform will doom your marketing efforts."

"Content is king, but context is God. You can put out good content, but if it ignores the context of the platform on which it appears, it can still fall flat."

"Creating skillful native content has little to do with selling and a lot to do with skillful storytelling.
In the right socialmedia-savvy hands, a brand that masters native content becomes human."

"If we want to talk to people while they consume their entertainment, we have to actually be their entertainment, melding seamlessly into the entertainment experience."

"Right hooks represent what is valuable to you—getting the sale, getting people in the door. Jabs are about what is valuable to the consumer."

"Your story needs to move people’s spirits and build their goodwill, so that when you finally do ask them to buy from you, they feel like you’ve given them so much it would be almost rude to refuse."

"Show your fans, whoever they are, that you love the same music they do.
Prove that you understand them by staying on topf the gossip about celebrities from their generation. Create content that reveals your understanding of the issues and news that matter to them."

"When you’re self-aware, you know your message.
When you know your message, it’s easy to keep it consistent in every setting.
No marketer should find this a daunting concept—we do it every day when we navigate the analog world.
You’re going to wear a different outfit and use different vocabulary when you’re sitting down for tea with your grandmother in her home than when you’re living it up with friends in a nightclub.
At least, you will if you’ve got nice manners.

"Creating micro-content is simply a way for your brand to adapt according to the circumstances and the whims of your audience. Micro-content is your brand’s
best chance of being noticed in an increasingly busy, disjointed, ADD world."

That's all for Gary Vee's book.
I'll share more highlights next week.
Although....🤔
I don't know the meaning of ADD.
Imma look it up later.

365 Days With Self-discipline
📌 On Pressing On

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination are omnipotent.
The slogan "press on” has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."

Quote by Calvin Coolidge

"When in doubt, press on.
It sounds obvious and trite, yet the simple fact of life that people who are persistent are usually more successful than less-determined geniuses often escapes us.
Time heals all wounds, and time — or rather, persistence that exercised over a long period of time — also leads to success.

"If you’re currently struggling with your goal, remind yourself that even if you feel like you’re lost in a maze, pressing on will eventually help you reach your destination and in many cases, it’s the only thing that separates the winners
from the losers."

These last two paragraphs spoke to me 😌
Especially the simple phrase, "when in doubt, press on".
I hope it reminds you to keep going as well.

Well, that's all for today's post.
This one may be shorter than the usual but then again,
I don't do word count here.
The words just flow.

Thanks for reading, my friend 😊
As always, you took time to click the link that sent you here,
And read what this girl has to say.
