"There Was No Interview, But...."

It's day 56 of documenting 2025.

I'm kinda overwhelmed because I have a lot to relay....
Or maybe it's just me overthinking.

Yesterday was quite interesting at the tutorial center.
During class, I got to sit beside an amazing girl who's a bit of a chatterbox but smart.
I also saw Dora and something spectacular happened.
I just arrived and a class was going on.
So I sat down and started to jot down some Chemistry.
Dora arrived few minutes after and set down her bag.
Then she came to sit beside me 🙌
Wonderful!

What's wonderful? 🤔
Well, I'll tell you....
The fact that she came to sit beside me indicates that she's comfortable having me around.
I guess our last 'awkward' conversation meant something.
We still talked about random stuff and she was more audible.
She even laughed 😄
I guess she's getting over her shyness....which is good.

Well, about the interview idea...
I haven't talked to any student yet, but I'll do so today.
(No promises!!)
Sitting with Dora was definitely the highlight of yesterday.
I haven't actually thought about how  I will ask the questions.

I should probably have the questions down somewhere.
Not too many tho.....
7 questions is enough.
Yeah! I'll do that...
Come up with 7 questions I can ask any student and show you their responses when they answer.
Sounds like a plan! 😏

Anyhoo, I don't have any other highlight.
I'll just share quotes and give my thoughts on them.
Basic building blocks ☺️

As you know (or maybe not!), I read 365 Days With Self-discipline every blessed day, before typing.
The idea behind it is this:
✍️ A writing challenge
365 day of writing every morning.
📚 Accountability book
365 Days With Self-discipline by Martin Meadows.
📱 Procedure
Read page for the day, type post for the day.
Get it?

Only recently did I add reading a second book for a different idea.
From Monday to Friday.
It could be on goal setting, social media marketing or writing.
Or personal development.
Today's read is, The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins.
And I highlighted vital points as I read it few minutes ago.
Quotes I will share with you now.
Let's get into it!

365 Days With Self-discipline
📌 Day 56: On Thinking You Can

"We often limit ourselves because we don’t think we can achieve something."

"Moreover, thinking that you’re unlikely to win means that you’ll put in less effort than you could."

"In the end, the person that doesn’t believe in their abilities will give up along the way while the person that is certain of their abilities will reach the top."

"Periodically try things that you think are outside of your ability with a positive attitude and the belief that you can succeed.
Chances are you’ll get a positive surprise and achieve something you thought was beyond your reach."

I do this sometimes.
Emphasis on 'sometimes'.
Periodically trying things that I may think are outside of my ability.
I just do it!
I don't usually think first...I just do what I have to and learn lessons from trial and error.
Lessons that are invaluable.

The 5 Second Rule
📌 What Are You Waiting For?

"You may think you’re protecting yourself from judgment, rejection, or upsetting someone, but when you make excuses and talk yourself into waiting, you are limiting your ability to make your dreams come true."

"There is no right time. There is only right now.
You get one life. This is it.
And it’s not going to begin again. It’s up to you to push yourself to make the most of it and the time to do it is right now."

"Waiting until you are ready will not make it happen.
The world doesn’t work that way.
The world rewards those who are courageous enough to stop waiting and start."

"The difference between people who make their dreams come true and those of us who don’t is just one thing: the courage to start and the discipline to keep going."

"The Rule is a game-changer because it 5, 4, 3, 2,1 forces you to get out of your head and start and it’ll 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 help you keep going."

"Waiting won’t help. Waiting will only make it worse.
When you sit with fear and uncertainty your mind makes it expand; it’s called “the spotlight effect” and it’s one of the many tricks your brain plays in an attempt to keep you “safe.”

"You can feel uncertain and be ready.
You can be afraid and do it anyway. You can fear rejection and still go for it."

I've been afraid lots of times.
And I've done things that scared the hell out of me.
But I'm going to tell you this:
The fear is only in your mind 🧠
When you do something that scares you, there are two outcomes:
1. You get what you want and feel awesome.
2. You don't get what you want and you learn instead of beating yourself up.

You see, my friend...
There's no loss here.
You still live to try one more time.

I've noticed that most times, people don't put themselves out there because of one insecurity or another.
They consume content but they're afraid to produce it.
I was like that once.
But ever since I started creating content, it has helped me overcome the fear of what people think about my creations.
It sucks? So what?
At least I had the guts to post something.
That's courage right there 👏

When the courage part has been done and dusted, it's time for the discipline part.
Doing it everyday.
That's why I started this blog.
To really dive into the discipline part.
And I can keep up with it because of one reason.
It's something I love to do.
Sharing my thoughts and ideas in writing.

Some people hate writing.
I can't imagine why.
But when you tell them they can make money from it,
They become writing experts 😅

Well, with the presence of AI, content creation has become easier.
Some people still won't do it.
Why? Because the passion isn't there.
I think it's more about the profit aspect for most people.

From what I've learned, making money isn't everything.
Many people struggle because there are other areas that may need improvement in their life.
And when they develop those areas, the money comes consistently.

That's the end of my thoughts for today, as well as quotes and notes.
I don't do usually run this through a grammar checker, because I don't need to.
I've written for today and that's what matters.
Besides, I consider employing Grammarly a bit extra and unnecessary.
I'm not writing an award-winning speech.
(Maybe later in the future....)

Thanks for reading, my friend 😊
I'm grateful because you're here.
Reading what this eccentric writer has to say.
I've got more posts for you to read, if you're down for it.
Check out Documenting 2025.

By the way, I'm Duon Ada.
And I'll see you tomorrow.
Ciao 💕
