No Plan? Random Thoughts Then!

It's day 42 of documenting 2025.

This is one of those days.
Those days when I've got no plan.
No idea of how this post will go.

Well, this whole blog has been a mashup so far, and I'm just living each day.
Let's see how today goes.
I have notes from Tony's book, more like highlighted points.
I'll share them....at some point.
But let me get some random thoughts out of my head.

I was thinking, is a serious relationship possible in my twenties?
That was just a thought in my head.
I mean, I've watched videos where older and successful people say that the twenties is for exploration and discovery.
I'm exploring, that's for sure.
In the real world, I'm the average first daughter and good girl.
People even call me another name.
But online, it's different.

Online, I'm Duon Ada.
I'm a content writer, a friend, an assistant and aspiring content marketer.
I've learned how to connect with people on a deeper level.
Some may think it's just texting and there's no real connection.
Well, I wouldn't say so.
There's calls, voice notes and videos.
I've met and worked with dozens of people that I may never meet in person and digital platforms have made this possible.

I noticed that I'm digressing from my original thought.
I was thinking if a relationship is possible in my twenties.
Well, duh 🙄
This is the time that most ladies would be looking for 'the one'.
These days, dating is mostly for fun and when things don't work out, one calls it quits.

I'm not most ladies, however.
I can be ultra focused....sometimes, obsessed over an idea or a person.
And when I get obsessed, I find it hard to let go when it doesn't work out.
I do eventually, but things change completely after that.

About having a relationship, I don't think it would be a good idea at this point.
I realize that I'm happy with the friendships I've built.
I have hopes of a particular one becoming more than a friendship....but for now, I've got dreams I'm chasing.
One at a time, Duon.
There's a big goal I set this year and I still don't know how it's going to be accomplished.
I guess I have to get back to work.
There's still plenty of time for a relationship.

That's all for my random thoughts.
I'm going to share some points from the section I read in a book by Anthony Robbins.
It's called, Awaken The Giant Within.
It's a book that has taught me so much.....about pain and pleasure, decisions and beliefs.
And I'm still on the fifth chapter!
I also see everyday examples of how pain and pleasure affect decisions.

The quote starting the section I read goes like this:
"The belief that becomes truth for me....is that which allows me the best use of my strength, the best means of putting my virtues into action."
By Andre Gide

The chapter talks about belief systems.
I've learned than an idea can become a belief if reference experiences are present.

Here's another excerpt from the section I read:
"People so often develop limiting beliefs about who they are and what they're capable of.
Because they haven't succeeded in the past, they believe they won't
be able to succeed in the future.
As a result, out of their fear of pain, they begin to constantly focus on being "realistic."

Most people who constantly say, "Let's be realistic," are really just living in fear, deathly afraid of being disappointed again.
Out of that fear, they develop beliefs that cause them to hesitate, to not
give their all; consequently
they get limited results."

This is a life fact on its own.
For example,
Someone who has tried affiliate marketing in the past and didn't make any sale can be led to believe they won't succeed in the future.
They quit and go back to job hunting with their degree.
They get a job with nice pay but one day, they meet a friend who's now a millionaire because of affiliate marketing.
They become regretful and depressed, which affects their performance at work......
(The story goes on!)

My point is, so many people believe they can't do something without even trying it.
Simply because they might have heard one-sided stories of how difficult that activity is.

Here's what Tony ended the section with:
"The reason success eludes most people is that they have insufficient references of succeeding in the past.
But an optimist operates with beliefs such as, "The past doesn't equal the future."

All great leaders, all people who have achieved success in any area of life, know the power of continuously, pursuing their vision, even if all the details of how to
achieve it aren't yet; available.

If you develop the absolute sense of certainty that powerful beliefs provide, then you can get yourself to accomplish virtually anything, including those things that other people are certain are impossible".

The bottom line is, being optimistic about your abilities to produce great results will give you the power to accomplish whatever you can dream of.
And even when things work out, you still move forward with unshakeable faith in your abilities.

I'm telling you this, but I also need to understand it myself.
Sometimes I lose sight of what's important.
The journey itself.

I'm learning, just like you.
And I think you're familiar with the saying,
"The day you stop learning is the day you start dying."
We're alive, so we keep learning.
Even from the most unexpected experiences.

This brings us to the end of today's post.
Thanks for reading, my friend 😊
I'm almost at day 50 of Documenting 2025.
So far, it's been a wonderful ride.
There are some stories I may not remember telling but this blog will keep my memories alive.
Down to day 365 of this year.

By the way, I'm Duon Ada.
And I'll see you tomorrow 😉
