You Have A Sleep Pattern?

Image
It's day 156 of documenting 2025. Intro. Intro. Intro. There, it's done. Let's move on to the good part. There's no chat with AI, because I decided to go to bed early last night. By early, I mean before 10pm. That's my early....but if I lived alone, it would be by 9pm. Lately, lately,  I've been thinking πŸ€” About my sleep pattern and how it's affecting some areas of my life. My current sleep pattern isn't serving me well....I'm going to change it. Being a night owl is kinda effective when I don't have somewhere to get to in the morning. As it is now, I have work to wake up and prepare for. So, I have to sleep early. I realized that the hard way after waking up late yesterday morning. The entire morning routine was scrambled for me, my younger brother and my sister because I slipped back into bed after turning off the morning alarm. Good thing the school where I teach is close to my house. I just had to plead with my dad to finish cooking breakfa...

3 Rules For Sustainable Progress

It's day 155 of documenting 2025. Wednesdays πŸ˜‡ Umm....that's it. I don't even know how to start today's post. If you've been reading my posts, you'll notice that I'm not so good in introductions. Or beginnings. But I try, don't I? It's the 6th month already and it still doesn't feel like I've been writing for the past 5 months. It feels like I just started. Don't know if it's a good or bad thing... I'm just saying 😌 Anyways (after awkward introductions, I can now flow...), today is the last day of test week at the school. Thank God! Yesterday wasn't as frustrating as Monday.  I got quite tired tho...and had a good nap as the rain brought in cool breeze. Tis the rainy season, my friend πŸ’§ I watched something interesting last night. It was a 4-minute YouTube video by Robert Greene on the importance of reading books. This was my thought pattern after watching the video: Success starts in the mind 🧠 Expanding our mind greatly...

"The Gardener Of Glass"

It's day 154 of documenting 2025 Today, we'll talk poetry. But before that, I want to mention something I've noticed. Can you guess? Maybe not... Well, it goes like this: I haven't been sharing how my day went....in former posts. It usually skips my mind. And boy!...a lot has been happening. Let's start with yesterday. I was so frustrated with the behavior of the students in my class. It was the first day of their test, yesterday. Today is the second. Anyways, what happened was that I set a timer for their test. 10 minutes. They complained that they were not usually timed in their tests before. "That's them" , I said. After 10 minutes, they grumbled as I collected their test books. I kept a straight face. Later on, a student came in, saying he was sent home by the administrator of the school. I also gave him 10 minutes. As he was writing, the administrator came in and asked how many minutes I gave them for the test. Upon hearing "10 minutes",...

"Let's Talk Productivity!"

It's day 153 of documenting 2025. Oof 😒 Hurts. A lot. To try something out and watch it fall flat on its face. That's what happened with the poll I posted on my WhatsApp channel. That was on Friday. No single response....and I have 21 followers. Same with the survey for this blog. No responses. Yet. I guess not many people read each post in a day. And my followers on the channel are probably busy with more pending matters in their lives. For the record, my friend... I'm not sad.  I don't cry about it either. Because it's a lesson in itself. What I learned?  Position yourself at the right time. The responses will flow...just like that. Apply that to life, if you wish πŸ˜‰ Anyhoo... It's Monday. And it's test week at the school where I teach. We'll probably close early today. Good for me πŸ˜„ Last night, as I was drawing up my schedule...I had a convo with ChatGPT. Topic? Productivity. Very interesting one, I assure you...because I learned something new as we...

Hello June...Welcome!

Image
It's day 152 of documenting 2025. Wow....😲 June is here! 6th month in 2025. The time for bold steps... Happy New Month, my friend πŸŽ€ I wish you more prosperity, more resources, more reasons to make you smile. I hope your June turns out better than May in all areas of your life 😌 Happy Sunday I wish you a wonderful week ahead...full of good news and wonderful happenings. Speaking of bold steps... I did a review yesterday on how the last month went... As well as how I can improve certain things. This blog included. And I noticed something. I think you're familiar with a section I started a few weeks back, called "Blast From The Past". If you're not, check out the last post. So, I don't think that section is doing well and here are my reasons. Firstly, I always add a link to an early post in the blog. I'm talking posts from January. But then, I also check my analytics for this blog. (I use Google Analytics by the way) And for the past week, I haven't se...

🎢 You're Unfolding 🎢

It's day 151 of documenting 2025. Last day in May What shall I say? None but God's praise, I'm alive today! Happy Weekend my friend πŸŽ€ Another week's gone, And a new month approaches. Can I say ' Happy New Month In Advance "? I think I can... Yesterday, I marked another milestone...150 days of writing this blog. I decided to create a survey to get your feedback on this Documenting 2025.  See it here. After 7 simple questions, you're free to keep reading. I haven't gotten any response yet...hopefully, I can get yours. Thank you for your time ☺️ The recent single by Rachel Platten and Lindsey Stirling (my top violinist) is lit! πŸ”₯ It's called, "Unfolding" . The lyrics are inspirational... The beat coupled with the violin sound is surreal. You should listen to it....you'll see what I mean 🎻 And yes! I finished with chapter 4 of "The Ultimate Focus Strategy" by Martin Meadows. That is, after reading 365 Days With Self-discipline...

150 Days? New Record!

Image
It's day 150 of documenting 2025. Another milestone crossed πŸŽ‰ 150 days of writing in a row! I should probably sing, 🎢This girl is on fire πŸ”₯ Cos I'm on a roll, baby! In today's section of Blast From The Past, I'll share a quote each from day 50 and day 100. Looking forward to the next milestone...day 200. Before I go into the usual sections (yes...we're still doing em'), I want to talk on the last 50 days. Speech mode activated! Let me clear my throat....although it's perfectly fine πŸ˜„ The last 50 days have been tough, my friend. Full of challenges, silent tears and struggle...mainly with myself. But they've also been beautiful and hopeful.  What we think may be far away might actually be closer than we think. And if there's any wonderful gift I've received from them, it's my reconnecting with Aisha. Somehow, the universe wanted it to happen. She's busy...so am I. She's a final year student in the university....can't imagine wha...

Are You Fascinated?

It's day 149 of documenting 2025. It's another day for Focus Series. Yep! I said it! Err.....scratch that 😐 It's just Thursday. Ignore the silly start, my friend... The beginnings are sometimes messy, aren't they? But it gets better, surely. I finished the third chapter of another book I'm reading, The Ultimate Focus Strategy by Martin Meadows. I finished the last section after reading through day 149 of the usual read. Highlights on that later... I take 10 minutes to read section of the two books. How I know? I set a timer for 10 minutes only. Ten minutes of reading daily usually compounds, doesn't it? Besides, the usual read is what I call a consistency companion for this blog. It's how I tell myself, "Heads up, Duon! It's time to write!" Tomorrow will mark 150 days since I started this blog. I mark a milestone every 50 days. The next milestone is day 200. But tomorrow, I want to try something different. Anticipate!......

Eisenhower's Decision Matrix

It's day 148 of documenting 2025. I chatted with Meta AI yesterday, After a while. What we chatted about? A few things.... Don't worry, my friend I'll share the whole chat in a bit. Before that, a heads up! It's the chat, Highlights and then Blast From The Past. It might be a bit long, so brace yourself πŸ™‚ The Chat With Meta AI Me : What does one do when there are so many activities to carry out and so many things to do? Meta AI: Feeling overwhelmed? Prioritize tasks based on importance and deadlines, then break them down into manageable chunks. Focus on one task at a time to regain control and momentum. Me : How does one prioritize tasks? Is there a specific method to use? Meta AI: Prioritizing tasks involves evaluating their urgency and importance.  One popular approach is the Eisenhower Matrix, which categorizes tasks into four quadrants: urgent & important, important but not urgent, urgent but not important, and not urgent or important. This helps yo...
