Hello June...Welcome!

It's day 152 of documenting 2025.
Wow....😲
June is here!
6th month in 2025.
The time for bold steps...
Happy New Month, my friend 🎀
I wish you more prosperity, more resources, more reasons to make you smile.
I hope your June turns out better than May in all areas of your life 😌
Happy Sunday
I wish you a wonderful week ahead...full of good news and wonderful happenings.
Speaking of bold steps...
I did a review yesterday on how the last month went...
As well as how I can improve certain things.
This blog included.
And I noticed something.
I think you're familiar with a section I started a few weeks back, called "Blast From The Past".
If you're not, check out the last post.
So, I don't think that section is doing well and here are my reasons.
Firstly, I always add a link to an early post in the blog.
I'm talking posts from January.
But then, I also check my analytics for this blog. (I use Google Analytics by the way)
And for the past week, I haven't seen any click through to the links from former posts.
Secondly, I had to replace the AI Series, where I would have a chat with any AI on certain topics and share the whole conversation.
I've gotten comments on WhatsApp from readers who find that aspect interesting.
Lastly, I think poetry does well too.
I also stopped sharing that here too...for some reason 😏
But there was a post I wrote last week where I added a poem.
It got a comment from someone on Whatsapp about how impressive my writing is.
In summary, I will have to cancel the "Blast From The Past" section.
It was a nice experiment...
But it was only good for me, not you.
Besides, I think adding the link there made it less likely for you to click it.
If you wanted to read it, you would check out the main site.
My guess is, you want more of poetry and conversations with AI.
Stop guessing, Duon!
Well, I can stop guessing if you help me take a short survey I created.
It takes less than 3 minutes to answer.
Plus, it will help me know exactly what to improve on this blog.
Thank you ☺️
Now, let's move to the only section I won't take out....ever.
And that is Highlights...where I share quotes from the note for today.
Quotes from the usual read, titled 365 Days With Self-discipline.
Sometimes I give my thoughts on the quotes...other times, there's no need to.
Sometimes I share the whole note... other times I just pick quotes.
I highlight them.
Alright...let's get into it!
365 Days With Self-discipline
📌 On The Future Value Of Money
"If an item was listed at fifty dollars, consider the potential value of that
same fifty dollars after it has been invested for twenty years.
Ask, “Is this item
worth $250?”
If it’s worth $250 to you today, then it’s worth buying."
Quote by Darren Hardy.
"Money has present and future value. At the very moment, 50 bucks is 50
bucks.
However, when invested over a long period of time (with a rate or return that exceeds inflation) , it can grow several times or more."
"If you’re struggling to maintain self-discipline with your finances, use
Darren Hardy’s mind trick to reduce the number of unnecessary purchases and
assume that each purchase costs you five times more over the long term."
"Alternatively, think of any purchase as hours of your work. 50 bucks is just
a number that has little, if any, emotional charge.
How about two or three hours
of your life? Would you buy this new trinket with two or three hours of your
time, instead of paying with a $50 bill?
What if it’s actually the same thing as
losing fifteen hours of your life over the long run? Is it still worth it?"
Hmm 🤔
Gives you something to think about, doesn't it?
By the way, I had to share the whole note today...it's one of those times when I can't just share one quote without sharing the others.
So you can understand the point clearly.
Now, let me share a chat I just had with ChatGPT on the topic of perception.
Me: What's the most simple definition of "perception"?
ChatGPT: Perception is how your mind understands or interprets what your senses take in.
Me: What my senses take in?
Are you referring to things like experiences, taste, touch, a visual?
ChatGPT: Yes, exactly. Your senses—like sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell—take in information, and your brain gives it meaning based on your past experiences, emotions, and expectations. That meaning is your perception.
Me: Okay, let's say something good happens to us...and we perceive it to be negative.
How can you explain that?
ChatGPT: That often happens when past pain, fear, or self-doubt filters how we see things. The event may be good, but if our mind is expecting harm or disappointment, we interpret it through that lens—even if it’s not true. It's not the event itself, but the story we tell ourselves about it.
Me: Now, let me flip it.
Something bad happens to us, but we take it as good.
What happens there?
ChatGPT: That’s resilience at work. It means you’re choosing to find meaning, growth, or hope in pain. Your perception shifts from “Why me?” to “What can this teach me?”—turning a setback into strength.
Me: Wow, that's nice
How can one change his perception of past and present experiences?
ChatGPT: By slowing down, questioning the old story, and asking: Is this the only way to see it?
When you create space between what happened and how you interpret it, you give yourself the power to choose a new meaning—one rooted in truth, not fear. That’s how perception begins to shift.
Me: What does it take for someone to that level where his perception shifts, either for better or worse?
ChatGPT: It takes repeated reflection, emotional honesty, and often a moment of deep impact—like pain, love, or awakening. Those moments crack old beliefs, and if the person is willing, that crack becomes a window for a new way of seeing.
Me: I see...🤔
So, it doesn't matter what happens to me, it's how I choose to see it that matters, right?
ChatGPT: Exactly, Duon. What happens to you is one thing—what you make of it is everything. Your perception is the lens, and you hold the power to adjust it.
Me: Amazing!
Can you give a short summary of what we discussed on perception?
ChatGPT: Sure!
Perception is how your mind interprets what your senses take in. It’s shaped by your past, emotions, and beliefs.
A good event can feel bad—or a bad one can feel good—depending on how you see it.
Shifting perception takes reflection, honesty, and willingness to question old stories. In the end, it’s not just what happens to you, but how you choose to see it that truly shapes your experience.
That's the chat, my friend 🎀
Your takeaway into the new month.
Always think in terms of lessons.
Try to find out what you can learn from a particular incident, whether it's an achievement or a mishap.
A nice conclusion, ainit?
I want to thank you for reading.
Whether you're new here or not, it doesn't matter.
What matters is that you can catch up on posts from last week by visiting the main site, Documenting 2025.
I'll see you there 😉
I still remain Duon Ada.
I'm still documenting 2025.
And I'll see you tomorrow as well.
Ciao 💕
