Lecture Day 3
It's day 316 of documenting 2025.
49 days to 2026!
Okay, today wasn't so bad...
I went for a lecture today, but we didn't do any serious business.
We just got introduced to the lecturer and she got to familiarize herself with us.
She also shared the rules and regulations that were displayed on a sample of the school answer sheet.
She also introduced herself, gave a few pointers and then dictated the course outline for us to take note.
I had to stay back to rework our class timetable...as part of assistant course rep duties.
Then we got the class cleaned up.
I got home quite tired.
And I was still able to do my laundry...and freshen up afterwards.
Then I had oranges for dinner 🍊
Not bad for a fasting day.
That's basically how my day went.
Let's get into highlights, a few thoughts and then end today's post.
Alright here we go:
365 Days With Self-discipline
📌 On Doing What You Love
"Every man loves
what he is good at."
Quote by Thomas Shadwell
If at first you don’t fall in love with the process necessary to make your
dream come true, don’t despair. As long as you don’t hate it, everything is fine.
The love for the process comes along with consistent improvements.
It’s
impossible, or at least unlikely, to eventually not fall in love with what you’re
becoming good at.
For example, many entrepreneurs think that they need to do what they love
in order for their business to succeed.
In reality, what matters most is that their
business fulfills a certain need or solves a certain problem.
If I hire your company to clean my house, I don’t care if you’re passionate
about it. All I care about is whether you can do it well, on time, and for a
reasonable price.
Initially, you might not love being in the cleaning business, but
if your business starts doing well and you become good at running it, you’ll probably enjoy doing it; and thanks to that, it will get even easier to grow it.
The same applies to any other goal. Get started, make sure that you feel at
least neutral about it, and be patient, because once you start getting better at it,
the process will become addictive and you won’t want to stop.
Key Takeaway:
You eventually fall in love with what you're getting good at.
No matter how you disliked it at first.
More thoughts I want to share:
There's some politics involved when it comes to picking class rep.
I'm realizing that now.
Man! It's a whole lot of confusion.
But I believe God will help me make the right decision.
It's not easy, at at all
I thank God for helping me and I pray that He helps me more.
That's my prayer.
