An Unexpected Sunday

It's day 327 of documenting 2025.
38 days to 2026!

Happy Sunday 😊
It's the start of another week and this post won't be complete if I don't share a testimony of God's grace and love towards me.

So, this happened last night.
I was frustrated because of the thought of low funds in my allowance.
I have digital products that I've created and I thought to sell one of them.

I was supposed to go to bed earlier, but the thought of how I would manage myself didn't let me.
So I messaged someone I just met recently, who also happens to be a writer.

In my desperation, I told her to just give me 5 minutes of her time, that I wanted to sell something to her.
Can you imagine? 😏
Anyways, I made my pitch...about how I created a product and that she should check out the page.

Unfortunately, she couldn't open the page and I had to describe the features of the product.
Then she said she couldn't get it then, and that she wants to teach me something.
I was ready to learn ✍️

She pointed out that I didn't sell the right way. She then gave me ideas on how to approach someone, by using what the person is involved in to pitch the product.
She also helped me with a shorter caption that she posted on her status.

Guess what?
I made a sale! Someone actually bought my blueprint! I was overjoyed.
Even before then, my dad sent me money to manage till tomorrow.
How did he know I was low on funds?
God did it! ☺️

I'm just so grateful....and one more thing, we now have light in our hostel!
Like seriously!
I slept with light in the room and the fan blowing cool air over me.
God has blessed me so 🥲

Alright, let's look at today's highlights...and then I'll share a few more thoughts before ending today's post.

365 Days With Self-discipline
📌  On the Biggest Person Standing in Your Way

"You might occasionally feel that some people are standing in the way and slowing your progress, but in reality the biggest person standing in your way is you.
Others can stop you temporarily; you are the only one who can do it permanently."
Quote by Zig Ziglar

When others sabotage your efforts to implement a positive change in your
life, it’s tempting to blame them for your lack of results.

However, while they can affect your endeavors temporarily, in the end it’s only you who can torpedo your dreams.

For one, ultimately it’s you who makes a judgment of what the action of another person means to you and your goals.

You can approach somebody’s effort to sabotage your dreams as an excuse to give up, or you can treat it as an obstacle that is an inherent part of the process.

A “friend” who taunts you about your lack of results when dieting might discourage you, or they might boost your resolve to show them what you’re capable of.

Second, when other people try to limit your dreams, question your abilities, or tell you to stop having your head in the clouds, ultimately it’s not their belief that counts; it’s what you yourself think about the feasibility of your goals.

Will you be bothered by people who doubt that you’ll ever build a successful
business?  Of course you will.
Will they make you doubt that you’ll succeed?

That would happen only if you let them, by valuing their words more than your
own belief in your abilities.

Finally, when others are required to make your dreams come true and it seems as if they’re actively against you (say, a gatekeeper who won’t let you get through to the CEO of the company you’d like to sell your services to), yet again they are not the ones who can destroy your goal.

It’s still up to you; you can come up with a different way to reach the CEO or develop a completely different approach to sell your service and grow your business.

Others can slow your progress, but it doesn’t mean that you’re powerless.
When somebody stands in your way, jump over them, crawl underneath them, go around them, or punch them in the face (just kidding with the last one).

Yeah...he was joking with the last one 😏
But seriously, I get where he's coming from.

Most times, we tend to blame others for what we ought to be responsible for.
But what matters most is what we think about ourselves and our abilities.

So, my take is this:
Ultimately, the best way to succeed is to believe in yourself and your abilities. I get it that sometimes, we all need someone to believe in us too. God believes in us 😌

Anything else I want to add?
Oh yeah...an unexpected service.
So, a friend invited me to his church service today, after my normal morning service.
It turned out that I became one of the actors in a short play that was presented by the church youth.

Twas just an inactive role tho....I was part of a congregation.
And somehow, I didn't feel weird with all those eyes staring at me.
I just played my part and it went well.
After, we were given refreshments.
Not bad at all.

Today's experience in a different church climate taught me a few things about the fact that we're all still children of God.
And it doesn't matter what we look like on the outward, it's the heart God looks at.

I think that would be all for today's documentation.
Thanks for reading 🎀
Someone asked me what my blog was about.

I simply replied, "Documenting"
Because I strongly believe that my story will be written one day, and all this that I'm sharing now, will be part of it (:

See you in the next post 💜
