Last Sunday Of October

It's day 299 of documenting 2025.
66 days to 2026!

Wow...the days are counting down real fast.
And it's the last Sunday of the month.
Happy New Week, friend ☺️
I wish you a wonderful week ahead.

Well, it's a late night post.
So where do I start from?
I think I would just start by saying that I'm so grateful 🥲
Grateful to God for the kind of understanding He gave me and the wisdom to act accordingly.

It's actually wonderful to walk with God.
And I think I'm not so new to it anymore....but at the stage where I'm learning to recognize Him in my thoughts.
At the stage where I'm learning to work with Him and actually do what He tells me to do immediately.

I fumbled in that aspect today.
At a point, I was thinking that my own will could be trusted.
He showed me that it's otherwise....that none of what I do would make me "good" before Him.
I just have to yield to Him....and surrender.

I actually learned a bit about the Holy Ghost as well.
It's from a book called, "Good Morning Holy Ghost", by Benny Hinn.
I was listening to it while doing some crochet....and even dropped it at some point, because it was too engaging.
I couldn't just pay attention to crochet anymore.

I learned that the Holy Spirit is like a person that's close to you.
I also learn that there are types of prayers you can pray to invite Him into your life.
I also learned that He can be grieved, like a friend that gets hurt.
I'm definitely going to go back to the books, to study and know more.

Okay....I'm definitely going to go back to that book and read till the end.
It's a very good read 📖

Speaking of reads....I'll now highlight today's note from the book that was written by Martin Meadows.
We'll do that and then I'll share more thoughts 💭
Man! I'm already sleepy..
Today was quite eventful for me 😄

Alright, let's get this show on the road...

365 Days With Self-discipline
📌 On Generalizations

" I wonder....often wonder why the whole world is so prone to generalise.
Generalisations are seldom if ever true and are usually utterly inaccurate."
Quote by Agatha Christie

Generalizations demonstrate lazy thinking, and lazy thinking is one trait that you most certainly don’t want to have if you want to improve your self-discipline.
Resist the temptation to categorize everyone and everything.

Acknowledge that — besides black and white — there are all kinds of shades of gray.
One of the most dangerous types of generalizations is assuming that a
frequently repeated opinion is a fact. Examples include:

1. Every salesman is a liar wanting to make as much money as they can on every sale. If that’s the generalization you believe, how effective will you be at
selling your own services or yourself to a potential employer?

2. All men/women are horrible people.
Good luck developing happy relationships with people if you categorize every member of the opposite sex as  horrible person.

3. All successful people got lucky.
If that’s what you believe, do you think it’s possible you’ll ever achieve success?

4. The only way to become properly educated is to go to college, and (what usually follows that generalization) your education ends the moment you graduate.
Without lifelong learning, achieving and maintaining success will be a
tricky proposition.

5. You need to be white/wake up early/start a business/be rich/live in the United States/be male/fill in the blank to become successful.
Be cautious not to equate success with a single trait or habit.
Warren Buffet drinks five cans of
Coke every day.

Does it mean that drinking Coke leads to success and longevity?
Catch yourself whenever you proclaim generalizations that masquerade as facts.

Unless you can state beyond a reasonable doubt that everything or everyone is the way you describe it (and it takes only one thing or person to prove otherwise), you’re only voicing an opinion.

Okay....🥱
Generalizations, right?
I think the point of today's note is that we shouldn't assume that one thing or situation is the same for everyone.
That way, we can avoid making factual errors.

And sometimes, it might be that one has stayed too much in an environment that has made them base their thoughts on one generalization or another.

Anyways.... anything else to add?
Not really....
Maybe just the fact that I hiked a lot today.
And that I got to help out some of my friends online, with a thing or two.
But I'm quite tired 😴
The sleepy kind of tired.

But I gotta write this post nevertheless, right?
I was actually thinking I didn't write a post for yesterday....but I did.
I give God the glory! Hallelujah! 🙌🏼

Let's end today's post on a hopeful tone, shall we?
I hope this new week goes well for us all.
I hope we never depart from God's grace and mercy. Amen 😌 🙏🏼
We will always be blessed!
