All Or Nothing Mentality
It's 294 of documenting 2025.
71 days to 2026!
Today was more of a rest day.
Wasn't active until 11am because I wasn't feeling too good.
I thank God for His strength.
I still went to where I would upload my documents and came back.
Just the headache remains tho...
But I'll be fine, by the grace of God.
Anyways that's about how my day went. I also packed my clothes in my suitcase, after deciding not to put it off till tomorrow.
The main packing work has been done then....all that's left are the miscellaneous.
Okay, let's get into Highlights for today....
And then I'll share a few more thoughts.
By the way, I just wanted to mention that this documentation counts as writing.
If I'm on a writing streak (which I am!), I can probably write about anything.
The main idea is that I write every day ✍🏼
Just wanted to put that out there...

📌 On the All-or-Nothing Mentality
"Part of abandoning the all-or-nothing mentality is allowing yourself room for setbacks.
We are bound to have lapses on the road to health and wellness, but it is critical that we learn how to handle small failures positively so that we can minimize their long-term destructive effects.
One setback is one setback — it is not the end of the world, nor is it the end of your journey toward a better you."
Quote by Jillian Michaels
People often don’t act on their goals because they don’t see how they can make it big right away.
For them, it’s all or nothing.
It’s either a sexy, firm, and beautiful body or nothing.
It’s either a glamorous start-up, backed by the biggest names from the Silicon Valley, or nothing.
It’s either being a perfect dancer or not learning how to dance at all.
It’s easy to see that there’s only one outcome of this mentality: you do
nothing because no matter what you do, you won’t get your perfect results right away.
Even if you do start, one setback will discourage you from further efforts: after all, it’s all or nothing and since you just suffered a failure, it’s time to give up as you won’t be perfect anymore.
Avoid developing such a mindset in yourself by acknowledging that everybody has to first be bad at something in order to become good at it.
No world-class performer started out with incredible skills; they all fumbled and failed on their journey toward success.
If you don’t believe me, read some
autobiographies.
If you managed to get past the all-or-nothing thinking and started working on your goals, but small slip-ups discourage you from further efforts, tell yourself that you only have to adhere to your resolutions in 90% of your efforts.
The remaining 10% is your margin for mistakes.
That way, one slip-up won’t destroy your entire progress: after all, you’ve already accounted for it, so it’s not ruining your forecast result.
All or nothing?
I would say I'm too familiar with that mentality, because that's not how I think.
Slip-ups are inevitable when you start working towards your goals.
What matters is what you do next:
Give up or keep going.
That's what I think anyways...
Most people may not share the same sentiment.
What about you?
What do you think?
Moving on....what other thing do I want to share? 🤔
Well, tomorrow would probably be my last day in Lagos.
The trip was supposed to be tomorrow....but my dad shifted it to Thursday.
Oh! One more thing....
I have a hundred followers on X! 🎉
It's amazing to see how fast that happened.
I guess the consistency training paid off....and I'm going to do more.
I haven't gotten any of my posts to 1K impressions yet...but with time, it will happen.
As long as I don't stop engaging and posting.
As for the posting aspect, I use a scheduling tool called Buffer to help me make posts at specific times of the day.
And as for engagement, I do that manually...just giving my honest opinions and getting to connect with people.
I was also planning to start showcasing my books on the page.
Most of the people I connect with don't know that I have written several books 📚
You probably don't know as well!
It's all on me....my bad.
I should be showing my works and be proud of them.
But sometimes...😪
I think that would be all for today's post.
Today was a good day, although it didn't start out as such.
Thanks for reading 🎀
You can check out the books on my Selar Store here.
See you in the next post 💜
