Beneath The Noise, Who Are You?
It's day 236 of documenting 2025.
Happy Sunday y'all! 😊
I hope for a good week ahead.
And no matter what, God is in control.
I finally read all the former posts before this one....something I don't usually do.
And now, there will be no down feeling when I check the post views...because at least one person read the posts.
Today, I'll do something different.
Instead of starting with Highlights, we'll do a poem instead.
Featured from my poetry collection, Lanterns For The Lost.
And I might say a few words on the lessons behind the verses.
Before the Soul Sets Sail
You’ve walked through flame and silence with your eyes,
Observed the games the restless spirit plays.
You’ve seen how pride and pleasure wear disguise,
And how we lose ourselves in borrowed praise
Then beg for peace in noise we helped to raise.
You’ve met the self that stumbles in its flight,
That barters worth for comfort, dream for ease.
You’ve sat with grief, with rage, with dim twilight,
And learned that even storms may speak of peace
If only we would let the longing cease.
This life is breath and vapor, not your own.
A gift on loan, returned at time’s decree.
Yet all you need, the core, the path, the throne
Resides within, unshaken and still free.
The soul is strong when it decides to be.
So walk with less illusion, more intent.
Let virtue shape the work your hands create.
Let presence be the sign of time well-spent.
Don’t fear the end; it doesn’t come too late.
Your anchor is the now. Your breath: your fate.
Something to think about
What have I learned about who I am beneath the noise?
Let me answer this question 😌
I've learned that beneath the noise, I'm someone who loves to create.
Beneath the noise, I'm fascinated with the works of God and how His greatness weaves into our world.
Beneath the noise, I'm someone who wrestles with my own thoughts....saying one thing, and contradicting myself in the same instant.
Beneath the noise, I'm someone trying to find purpose in what people call strange.
I can go on and on about who I am based on what I've learned, beneath the noise.
But I'll stop here for now.
I hope you can figure out who you are too.
Note that it has to be apart from the noise....which is basically social media.
I'm not saying you should become antisocial, or anti-socialmedia...
I'm just saying you shouldn't let it define your true worth.
Think of it this way,
"If social media didn't exist, would you still live a normal life?"
You may have an obvious answer....but just think about it.
Anyways, now we can move on to the usual highlights for today.
This time, we'll look at the whole note.
365 Days With Self-discipline
📌 On Being a Normal Chap
"In response to the question, “So, Mr. Lamborghini, in short what type of man are you?”: A normal chap, a man who likes creating things. A good worker in the morning, and a man who likes enjoying himself in the afternoon."
Quote by Ferruccio Lamborghini
It’s easy to put successful people on a pedestal and think that they’re so exceptional that you’ll never become even half as great as they are.
In reality, world-class performers aren’t that different from you or me.
Mr. Lamborghini, the creator of one of the most desired sports car brands in the world, described himself in simple terms that can apply equally to any other
successful person: they like to create things (which comes down to never-ending self-improvement), they’re good workers, and just like everybody else, they like enjoying themselves after work.
Thinking that successful people live on a different planet can hinder your personal growth.
You might assume that their achievements are only within the reach of similar superhumans, but not you.
In reality, while there are certain
exceptions of people who were born with extraordinary talent, prior to their success, most people didn’t differ much from others.
If you have a tendency to become star-struck, remember that beyond their successes, they’re the same human beings as you or me. They might be exceptional at one thing, but horrible at something else.
The only reason why many of them have achieved success might be because of their persistence, and not because of any special abilities or resources that were available to them.
Stick to your own resolutions and with enough dedication, nothing will prevent you from attaining their level of accomplishment.
The thing I've noticed is that most of the successful people were not popular in their sowing years.
The times they struggled and stumbled, nobody knew them.
Then one day, the success becomes evident and they explode!
People start paying attention to them and what they say.
Then you see them and start wishing you were like them.
Oh please, spare me 🙄
Start working.
Start doing the work that most of your peers run away from.
You might be invisible for a decade, but the next two years will set you in the highest of places. Keep going.
Well, that would be all for my sermon today...
(Oh goody! It's even a Sunday! 😅)
I hope this new week and the coming month will bring new blessings and reasons for you to smile 💜
Thanks for reading 🎀
Don't forget to check out the newest ebook on my store, which is a collection of soul-speak poetry called Lanterns For The Lost.
As well as some other amazing content.
Oh yeah!
It's time for my closing lines.
The usual? 😏
Obviously...I can't think of any new ideas.
So, here goes:
I'm Duon Ada.
I'm documenting 2025,
And I'll see you tomorrow.
Ciao 💕
