A Little Greek Mythology?

It's day 204 of documenting 2025.
Today was my day off.
The day before the party tomorrow.
I enjoyed it actually....or I'm still enjoying it.
After a long, hard nap in the morning....I took a walk with my sister and got home...to lounge again.
While doing the habits on my routine, of course.
It was good...but hopefully, tomorrow will be better.
Today is actually my friend's birthday.
I refer to him as PK whenever I mentioned him in former posts.
He's the most wonderful person I have ever known ๐
I haven't communicated in a while....which is bad on my part.
But I'm giving him the shout-out that he deserves, for being such an amazing friend.
Happy Birthday PK ๐
I wish you nothing but the best of all good things to come.
Long life, prosperity and extraordinary blessings ๐
I'm sorry I haven't messaged you in a while...and I hope you got the letter I sent explaining why.
I'm doing okay over here...and I'm sure you'll be fine too.
Take care of yourself, okay?
Enjoy your special day, mon ami ๐ฅฐ
That's the shout-out.
I really wish I could send more than the letter...but that's all I can do from here.
It's all good tho....I'm sure he has gotten a lot more gifts and birthday wishes.
Let's move on to Highlights.
365 Days With Self-discipline
๐ On Psychological Limits
"The limit I thought existed was purely psychological.
Now that I’d seen someone doing a thousand pounds, I started making leaps in my training.
It showed the power of mind over body."
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Your mind definitely has power over your body. Think of something and your body moves to do it.
However, in some cases where what you're thinking is not something good, your mind can control your body not to do it....except if you lose the battle and let the bad thought win.
Our limits come primarily from our surroundings.
I agree ๐ฏ
Where we are often determines the level or quality of what we think...and eventually how we act.
I don't need any psychologist to explain that to me.
Exposing yourself to high performers can be a wonderful way to push your psychological limits and show you what’s possible.
Reading stories of average
people like you or me who have managed to achieve their goals despite having no natural talent, resources, or any other hidden advantages works almost like
brainwashing.
What belonged to the realm of impossible is now something you know can be achieved.
Exposing myself to high performers, you say? ๐ฏ
Well, that's astonishing!
So, here's what I understand:
If you read their books or watch their content, you're tapping into their mindset and soon enough... you'll start believing you can do it too.
I can bet that someone is being motivated right now...๐

Meditations
๐ Book 4
34. Hand yourself over to Clotho voluntarily, and let her spin you into whatever she pleases.
35. Everything transitory—the knower and the known
36. Constant awareness that everything is born from change. The knowledge that there is nothing nature loves more than to alter what exists and make new things like it.
All that exists is the seed of what will emerge from it. You think the only seeds are the ones that make plants or children? Go deeper.
37. On the verge of dying and still weighed down, still turbulent, still convinced external things can harm you, still rude to other people, still not acknowledging the truth: that wisdom is justice
These are an unusual set of excerpts...in my opinion.
Who exactly is Clotho? ๐คจ
I ran to my AI assistant to help me understand and here's what it said:
34. "Hand yourself over to Clotho..."
Clotho is one of the three Fates in Greek mythology. She spins the thread of life, deciding when life begins.
Marcus is saying: surrender to the natural course of life. Trust fate. Let go of control and accept what life spins for you.
35. "Everything transitory—the knower and the known"
Nothing lasts. Not even our thoughts or our identities ("the knower"), nor the things we experience ("the known").
All things pass; so don’t cling to any of it.
36. "Constant awareness that everything is born from change..."
Change isn’t a threat—it’s life’s deepest rhythm. Nature thrives on transformation.
Everything we see is the seed of something new. So instead of resisting change, understand it as nature's creative process.
37. "On the verge of dying and still..."
Marcus criticizes the tendency to stay restless, selfish, and defensive; even close to death.
He’s urging a wake-up call: stop living as if you’re invincible. Accept that real wisdom lies in justice; living rightly, kindly, and with clarity.
Key message
Surrender to fate, embrace impermanence, respect the power of change, and live with justice before it’s too late.
Here's the idea behind the image I used above this post....
The three ethereal figures symbolize the Fates gently weaving luminous threads into the air.
One figure spins (Clotho), another measures (Lachesis), and the third cuts (Atropos).
According to Greek mythology, they're three of them, Clotho included.
You can do some research to find out more....
This is where I draw the curtains on today's post.
I hope you're doing great wherever you're reading from...
Thank you for reading ๐
A little promotion, if you don't mind...
