Unusual Process? Three Power Tools
It's day 76 of documenting 2025.
I'm trying something different this week.
It involves scheduling the next day's post.
Typing by 8pm on day 75 is quite unusual for me.
But as they say, "the show must go on"
More like the writing ✍🏼
So, it's cold outside right now.
Not cold....more like chilly.
Rain fell a while ago and stopped, leaving behind this wonderfully chill breeze and a bit of thunder and lightning.
I love the chill 😄
Okay, I'll start with how today went.
More like yesterday....
Oh gosh!
This is confusing 😐
(Breathe, Duon.....Breathe...)
Think of it this way.....
I'm writing the post for the next day and I'm assuming that I woke up early....by 4am.
How will I normally write?
Like it's Monday morning!....duh 🙄
The reader will read the post tomorrow, so type like it's tomorrow!
Alright then....let's do this
Loading composure and writing style...
25%....50%....75%....100%
Monday's post starting now:
Happy Monday, my friend 😊
I hope your weekend went well
Mine was good....mostly.
Although I didn't want to go for the usual Sunday evening walk, I pushed myself anyway.
And it turned out to be nice.
The headache I initially had, reduced significantly.
Well, it's a new week.
Any Monday Motivation?
I think so 🤔
It's probably hiding....it will show up soon.
While we wait, let's do the highlights for today.
Apologies, my friend.....I will only share quotes from the usual read.
Monday's read will be highlighted during the weekend.
I promise 😌
If you don't know what I'm talking about, just know this:
The usual read is 365 Days With Self-discipline by Martin Meadows.
And Monday's read is Awaken The Giant Within by Anthony Robbins.
365 Days With Self-discipline
📌 Day 76: On Changing Your Mind
"I like to say that self-discipline is a powerful force, but only as long as you apply it deliberately in the right circumstances."
"Blindly exerting self-control when your efforts are fruitless and unlikely to lead to positive results is dangerous because it’s not only a waste of time, but may also lead to bitterness."
"“I was so self-disciplined and yet I failed! Self-discipline is overrated, I’m done with it!”, a person might exclaim upon realizing that their efforts were for naught, but failing to notice that their self-discipline wasn’t to be blamed — it was their wrong use of it that resulted in wasting time."
"From time to time, revise your goals to factor in any new information you have recently acquired.
Does it solidify your reasons to keep going, or is it a sign that perhaps you should alter your conclusions and refocus your efforts on something else?"
In essence, some new information can alter the direction of your goals.
For example, I had a goal of reaching 1000 subscribers on my email list last year.
The timeframe I gave myself was outrageous....2 months!
As overly ambitious as it was, I went all in and joined the Substack network.
Few weeks into it, I saw a post where someone shared a milestone of 500 subscribers (I think....🤔)
The post implied that it took six months to get to that stage.
I was like, what? 😲
It was then I realized that the first few months into a business or project, things are slow at first.
I gave up the goal of trying to grow that fast.
Instead, I focused on the content I was sharing.
The email list is on hold now, due to the exam....and all that.
No marketing for now.
That's the end of highlights for today.
I said something about Monday motivation, right?
Well, here's something straight from my coconut 🥥
New week, new opportunities
A new chance at life itself.
You may not realize it, but you have everything you need right now to succeed.
They're only three.
Should I tell you what they are?
Your mind, a pen and a paper.
You may think, what's this writer trying to say?
Let me tell you....
Your mind is the birthplace of ideas.
A pen is what you use to capture those ideas with the motion of your hands.
A paper is where you bind the ideas for execution.
Writing down anything and everything you want to do already increases your chances of success.
There's this verse from a holy book, The Bible that says,
"And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it." (KJV)
What I want to pick out is, "Write the vision".
Write things down ✍🏼
Plan, plan, plan.
Execute.
That's how it always is for me.
Even when I get overwhelmed or confused, I constantly ask myself,
"What's the next thing?....what are you doing now?"
Then I write whatever comes to mind.
Most times, I remember pending tasks and set reminders to finish them.
You can make things right this week.
You can achieve more this week.
You can do better this week.
All it takes is your mind, a pen and a paper.
Put the phone down.
Write, plan and execute.
This week is yours for the taking.
You've got this 💪🏼
How did I do, my friend?
How would you rate my Monday motivation piece?
It better be a perfect 10.
Or else....
That's all for now.
Thanks for reading 😊
This was quite unusual for me, but I hope I inspired someone out there.
You're reading this today, but I typed it yesterday and scheduled it.
I'm trying to get the hang of it.
Thanks for your understanding 🙏🏼
I wish you a wonderful week ahead.
More grace, more blessings, more reasons to be grateful.
I'm Duon Ada.
I'm documenting 2025.
And I'll see you tomorrow.
Peace ✌🏼
PS: Still getting the hang of typing correctly with my friend's laptop.
Wasn't easy tho....
But I'm getting better....will share more updates tomorrow.
