Yo! Tiktok Got Banned!
It's day 20 of documenting 2025.
345 days left!
Kinda weird to be making it a countdown,
And I know that many things will still happen this year.
For example, the Tiktok ban.
It's just the beginning of this year for crying out loud!
The ban of the most popular social media platform has come like a shock.
But some people will nod their heads and say, "I saw it coming".
I actually don't know what sparked the ban but Uncle Sam has proclaimed it.
For those who built their business solely on Tiktok, they would have to start from scratch.
But the others will just move to the audience they have in other platforms.
As for me, I'm on the fence 🤷
I never opened a Tiktok account.
I didn't see the need to do that.
Thus, I'm not bothered.
It's a new week.
11 days left till January 2025 goes away, never to come back again.
Then we move into the month of love 💕
I've already seen posts with the message, "Valentine is coming!"
Seems Valentine is a big deal for some people.
Especially couples and wannabe couples.
Is it for me? I don't think so.
By the way, I don't have any notes to share today.
(Yep! I didn't read again last night)
But I have reasons.
I successfully scheduled this week's content for my list and Facebook page.
(Can't schedule the engagement tho....it's all on me!)
By the time I was done, it was past midnight and I answered some messages before handwriting my to-do list.
Then I went to bed.
I wouldn't say I forgot, I just put it off.
However, I downloaded the audiobook version of the book.
It's Awaken The Giant Within by Anthony Robbins.
Will start on that today.
I saw a post by Alex Hormozi on Facebook that reading and listening to a book helps to internalize it better.
In the picture, he showed his book, $100M Offers in the physical and audiobook version.
But as usual, I read 365 Days With Self-discipline before typing this post.
It's a book by Martin Meadows which is basically a collection of notes on self discipline with relevant quotes starting each note.
The note for day 20 talked about taking small steps.
The first paragraph goes like this:
"Rome wasn’t built in a day, and you won’t build self-discipline overnight.
If you’ve never been particularly disciplined, start small with easy challenges and then build on top of them".
Everything starts from small.
We learned to walk by taking small steps.
We didn't stop trying when we fell down countless times.
Our family cheered us on as we got back up and kept taking small steps.
Now we can run and move as we please.
Never stop challenging yourself, my friend.
It may not be consistent, but you're trying.
That's what matters.
And from all I've learned so far from Tony's book, I can say this:
"By linking pleasure to tackling challenges, you become a problem-solver, for yourself and others".
Yeah, Duon said that 😄
About challenges, I'm thinking of making a fresh Instagram page.
One where I can share my creative works.
Like an online house for my poems and short stories.
Won't show my face tho....
Won't post reels either.
Yeah....pretty unusual.
Instagram growth experts would be shaking their heads at me now 😅
I'm not really looking for Instagram fame or business opportunities (tried that already!)
Neither will I pray to the 'algorithm gods' for my post to reach a lot of people.
I'll just share in my own unique way.
I worked up a logo with my pal, ChatGPT last night.
I'll share when the page is active.
Thanks for reading, Ami ☺️
I wish you a wonderful week ahead.
