Do You Know The Art Of Losing?

It's day 28 of documenting 2025.

I'm not so psyched.
But I'm smiling as I type this very sentence 🙂
We had no power yesterday...just a flash of hope that got dashed by disappointment.
On the bright side, I'm able to bring today's post to your screen.
Even if it's all I do today, I still consider it a good day.

I didn't read the usual book last night....wasn't able to.
So, I didn't take notes ✍️
Although, I read a bit of it this morning, as well as 365 Days With Self-discipline.
And what I got from that 'bit' I read is this:
"A belief is simply a feeling of certainty about something".
Or to quote Tony directly,
"Most people treat a belief as if it's a thing, when really all it is is a feeling of certainty about something".

Hmm 🤔
Feeling of certainty.
So, if I say I believe the power will be restored today, it means I feel certain that it will be restored.
I see....
There will be more on this tomorrow, my friend.
I'll take notes today....unfailingly.

I've nothing much to say.....
Except the fact that I'm lagging behind on the content I'm supposed to post.
The thing is, I got a new content appointment to come up with a content calendar for another company.
Haven't even worked on it, I just went through the IG page to check out the content.
(It sucks...Imao 👀)
I also came up with some ways to revamp the content which I relayed to the brand manager.
At least, I have till the end of the week to craft something.

And my own personal content...
Praise the heavens for content scheduling 🙌
I don't have to worry about my Substack newsletter and Facebook page.
The only content I post manually are the poems on my IG page.
(I'll share one of the poems in a bit)
I was supposed to post a carousel yesterday....but I didn't.
Will do that today as well.

And there's the other brand gig....as well as Opera Articles...
And my poetry lessons.....
I should feel overwhelmed but I don't, to be honest.
I'm loving it!
Having to deal with all this is teaching me how to manage my time better.
And I'm gonna learn.
(Thank you, experience! 🙏)

I may or may not show up on Whatsapp today as I usually do.
The most important thing is to get this post out and work on the poem carousels.
Today's MITs.
Messages can wait....
If I don't reply, they'll have to wait until I do, right?
(🤫 Don't tell them I said that!)

Anyways my friend....I have to stop my ramblings here.
I said I would share one of my poems earlier, so that's what will end this post.

Thanks for reading 😊
As always, you decided to click that link to read my post.
I appreciate that.
I'll see you tomorrow and hopefully, with good tidings.
Scratch that!
I believe there will be good tidings in tomorrow's post.

Who's this eccentric writer?
It's Duon Ada and she's documenting 2025
Peace ✌️

The Art Of Losing

To lose is the cost of a life well-spent,
A trade for the treasures the journey has lent.
Like leaves in autumn, losses must fall,
To make way for spring, the greatest of all.

The soldier knows, as the battle ignites,
That victory is forged in long, sleepless nights.
Each scar he bears, a price he has paid,
A token of courage, a path he has laid.

The farmer loses the seed to the earth,
Trusting the soil to bring forth its worth.
Rain may drown it, or sun may sear,
Yet growth blooms bold when faith conquers fear.

The artist sacrifices countless days,
To capture the world in a canvas's haze.
Each stroke, a whisper, each loss, a gain,
In chaos and color, there's purpose in pain.

Do not fear loss, for it shapes the soul,
A sculptor's hand that makes us whole.
Great minds have learned to lose and let go,
Planting the seeds of the dreams they sow.

For the moon must wane to wax anew,
The tide recedes for the ocean's view.
So when life asks you to give up your hold,
Remember, in loss lies a future untold.

Each loss a lesson, each fall a flight,
The darkest moments birth the brightest light.
So lose with grace, and gain with might,
For even in loss, the heart burns bright.

You can see what it looks like as a carousel, as well as two others.
