Goodbye Gemini....Hello Leonardo!
It's day 126 of documenting 2025.
Tuesdays are for laundry.
That's what I'm telling myself.
I'll say it till I believe it.
It doesn't work that way tho...
I still have to actually do the work.
Don't mind me...I'm just silly 😄
I plan to do all the washing today; hence the weird beginning.
That's why this post had to be scheduled.
One thing I know, whether it's scheduled or not....you still read anyways.
Well, I guess I should brief you on how yesterday went.
Overall, it was good.
I had my afternoon nap and it was nothing short of refreshing.
And something spectacular happened.
Have I told you about the idea I had saved in Google docs?
Hmm 🤔
I think so...but I mentioned it in a former post.
Anyways, I worked on it today.
It's an ebook.
No spoilers!...but I guess I should tell you.
Don't tell anyone else, okay?
I looked at all the parts I drafted then...they were all scattered.
I had to put it all together.
And I did...in one go!
What's amazing about this is that I didn't scroll or think about other things I had to do.
I was focused on getting it done because at that moment, it was all I could think of.
I finished the draft!
I also discovered a technique of tricking my mind to work.
So, here's what I did.
I set a timer, since the time tracking app on my phone was gone.
Due to the factory reset incident.
I set the timer for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
As I worked on it, I checked the time at intervals.
This forced my mind to focus on beating the timer.
I was a little distracted...because I was checking on my younger brother as he did his homework.
The time was up.
I wasn't done with the draft.
But guess what?
I kept working...long after the time was up, until I finished the draft.
What happened there?
I was intent on finishing it and since my mind was already locked in, I was able to get it done.
There wasn't even the thought of "let me leave it till later, the time is up"
It was like some kind of programming.
I was ecstatic when I finished the draft....all that's left is formatting and adding pictures.
I decided to try the technique again last night, when I wanted to read the ebook for today's highlights.
I set a timer for 5 minutes and started reading.
I also got the quotes and when I was done...there was still time left to read another book.
I started reading that one...then the timer rang.
But I kept reading anyways, till I was done with the section.
Then I marked the next section...so I would know where I stopped.
So, the technique works!
I'll try it for other tasks and see how it goes.
And maybe, I'll give you the gist 😉
I don't understand why it worked that way for me tho...
That's why I want to study Psychology.
To answer questions like these...
Why did the awareness of a timer cause me to focus on and finish the draft?
If the timer wasn't present, would I have finished it?
Is it also due to the fact that there are no more distracting apps on my phone?

📌 On Shedding Light On The Dark Things
"Much as we must keep returning to the gym and pushing weight against
resistance in order to sustain or increase our physical strength, so we must
persistently shed light on those aspects of ourselves that we prefer not to see in
order to build our mental, emotional and spiritual capacity."
Quote by Jim Loehr
"Who likes to think about their flaws, let alone put them on full display?
We
hide our dark side — our mistakes, our failures, temptations we couldn’t
overcome, and so on. Instead, we focus on our strengths and proudly talk about
our successes."
Mm hmm 😏
Like most of them celebrities.
"...sometimes it’s necessary to shed light on
the dark side and pick a weakness to address or a temptation you finally need to
face and overcome."
"Right now, spend a few minutes thinking about your unpleasant traits; the ones that you always ignore, or worse, don’t even admit that you have them.
If you’re good at accepting criticism from other people, ask your friends what
they think your biggest flaws are; and work on fixing them."
For me, this blog is a perfect definition of "Duon's Not Perfect".
I'm as honest as possible when sharing all my experiences.
The good and the bad.
The ugly and the sad.
It's my story and I'm living it.
That's all for highlights.
Another spectacular thing that happened is Leonardo AI.
Where has it been all my life?
I'm using the free version...and the fact that it generates 4 images for you to choose from is amazing 🤩
I prompted it to give me a book mockup and I was blown away by the images it created 😲
It also created the image you see at the top of today's post.
For image generation, it's goodbye to ChatGPT, Gemini and Meta AI...
And hello Leonardo.
And the ebook?
Lemme just say a little about it.
It's about online writing...specifically reasons why someone should write online.
I wrote it for those who consume a lot of content but don't create their own.
For those who may have considered it but are not convinced if it's right for them.
Believe it or not, we're all writing.
Your comment on someone's post...you wrote it, didn't you?
The short caption you add to your picture on Facebook...you wrote it as well, right?
That review...
That tweet or thread...
It's all content.
Ann Handley was right to title her book, "Everybody Writes".
We all write in one way or another but not many people know how writing online can change their life.
That's what I want to show in my ebook called....
Nope!...not telling you 😶
I will tell you when the book is done.
Complete.
Be patient, okay?
I plan to finish it before my break is over on Thursday.
And I will.
Then by Saturday....I will make the revelation.
I believe I can help people with this one.
Thanks for reading, my friend 🎀
Thanks for getting to the end of today's post.
I appreciate you showing up today.
Wish me luck with the laundry....cos I'm gonna need it 😆
