Sixteen Days Left!
It's day 98 of documenting 2025.
To get something you desire, you have to become the person worthy of receiving it, at the right time.
Does that make sense? ๐คจ
It's just came to me as I was thinking yesterday.
I didn't write it down....just typed it straight into my notes app.
And decided to start today's post with it.
It's hard to wait, isn't it?
I understand that if something was hard for you to get, you will value it extremely.
In the waiting period, we just have to do something worthwhile.....something that will make your hard-to-get achievement even more valuable.
I don't have to explain what you just read.
If you get it, you get it ๐
And if you don't, maybe you should just read it again.
By the way, it's officially 16 days to the commencement of my exam.
Our teacher made sure to remind us yesterday.
I'm doubling my efforts, studying every chance I get.
I came to the tutorial center early so I could do the CBT practice.
I also did the study mode for Biology, where a classmate and I answered 50 random questions and checked to see if we got the correct answers or not.
80% of the time, we were.
Enough of yesterday....today is Tuesday.
And it's time for highlights and a chapter recap.
That means, I'll share highlights from the usual read by Martin Meadows, as well as a chapter recap from another book, also by the same author.
365 Days With Self-discipline
๐ On Society (Not) Holding You Back
"It’s not society that holds us back, it’s ourselves.
We just blame society because not only is it easier but it’s a nearly impossible weight to move.
This way, we don’t actually have to change."
Quote by Neil Strauss
"It’s easy to use society as a crutch."
"Every time you claim that it’s the surroundings that hold you back, ask yourself if it’s really your environment or perhaps it’s just an easy excuse for you to not act.
And if you still think it’s your surroundings — because that might be the case — then change them."
"If your long-term goals are important to you, you can always consider moving to a place that will be more conducive to your personal growth."
I usually have a few words to chip in after each quote....
But this time, I got nothing.
I'm still trying to understand it myself.
Okay, let's see ๐ค
Here's what I think: my environment plays a crucial role in my personal growth and development.
In some cases, it can make or break me.
Nevertheless, no matter where I find myself, I have to make the most of it until things change.
(I did good, right?)

๐ Second Chapter Recap
1. Set up a daily routine and follow it no matter the circumstances. Resist the temptation to keep going for longer when you have strength for it.
Don’t take a break when things get tough; unless you find yourself in extreme conditions.
Build discipline to work on your goal every single day – with no exceptions.
2. Establish your routines on top of your existing habits.
The more automated your behavior is, the less resistance you’ll feel and the less likely you’ll be to give up.
3. Even small actions, when you make them every single day, can produce great results in the long term.
Don’t disregard the power of consistent action.
4. Put a big red X on every day you stick to your goals and don’t break the chain.
From the points above, you can tell that the chapter was about routines and consistent actions.
As far as consistency goes, this blog is a standing example.
I've written for 120 days straight before but that was years ago.
I didn't have a smartphone then, so I wrote on paper.
I wrote 112 poems and 10 short stories in that period.
I still have the collection till today.
So, I guess the record I have to beat is 120 days.
Don't worry, I'm getting there ๐ฅ
Anything else I want to add?
Yeah....one thing.
I was in class yesterday and I observed something.
There's a particular girl that is always the laughing stock of the class.
She much younger than most of us and she dresses....not-so-ladylike.
Maybe it's because she cut her hair or that's how she prefers to dress.
There's always one remark concerning her that makes the others laugh.
It's either her dressing...or the fact that she talks quite loudly...or her response to a question.
I don't find any of that funny.
And I don't think she feels good about how she's always being ridiculed.
I would say it's her partly her doing, based on my observations.
She talks back and sometimes insults them, maybe to show just show that she can talk back....and she's a chatterbox.
But she's a good kid and sometimes, I admire her for not giving a damn about what they say.
One of these days, I will talk to her about it....to know how she actually feels.
Let's see what happens ๐คท๐ผ
For now, I'll just keep observing.
Like I usually do.
A thoughtful way to end today's post, right?
I don't think it's a long one....twas not as long as yesterday's. Mind you, I don't do word count around here.
I just document....and add another day to my streak ✨
Thanks for reading, my friend ๐
